"All of you, listen to the second in command, he is in charge now. If anything happens, fight for our territory. I'll be back as soon as we can. However, if you see that you can no longer win, fall back and go to the unclaimed territory, hide and survive, I don't want to lose any of you."
The head alpha saw that his plan wasn't that good after all, he trusted his mates to fight for him. But as Amala said, it wasn't enough, she was right about summoning the king. However, this task is easier said than done.
Yoongi also didn't fail to see that his mates were scared even if they didn't like to show it. The trip to the middle of the world as it was called would be very long and harsh on both him and his omega. And he didn't know if his pack would be able to last that long under the hawk's evil eyes of Hanbin. Yoongi didn't trust the peace treaty formed with the current alpha, he was afraid the latter would notice his absence and take the opportunity to strike his pack.
He had just buried his father and he was already forced to fight for the name they shared. Despite not being proud to be born in the coven, he is proud of the Min last name and he intends to continue and protect that legacy which lasted a few centuries.
Nighttime passed like a blink of an eye in both of the Min caves. Yoongi spent his night with his youngest beta. He knew Taehyung was planning on following them, to guard them from rogues and whatnot, he had assumed right. The beta quickly admitted to his plans and Yoongi wouldn't deny his disappointment. Especially since Tae's last punishment was for this exact same reason. After lots of tears and hugs, the beta was convinced of his role within the pack territory.
The head alpha pleasured his beta and took care of all his needs thoroughly all night long. He suppressed moans and whines, he kissed the tears away from red cheeks and caressed the strong muscle underneath rough skin. It was always shocking to Yoongi how he needed to be the gentlest when he was with his strongest beta. Amala, Jimin, and Jin were all very good at handling him and the rest of the alphas. Taehyung, on the other hand, was shy and vulnerable. He always needed the extra attention and kindness the alphas could offer him. He liked being pampered and taken care of, he liked to let go of power and just go limp in the embrace of the alpha. Yoongi always obliged, happy to have at least one weak opponent in bed within his pack.
The alpha had wanted Jin to join them as well in this late adventure, but Hoseok suggested that Jin should stay with Amala. The rest of the pack had spent a lovely night as well in the other cave. At one point, Namjoon had joined in to have his share of the feast.
They only slept for a few hours when the first rays of sunshine surged in the sky. And the Min pack was up and running. They bid their goodbyes and both Yoongi and his youngest omega shifted into their wolf forms. Amala struggled to shift again but she was encouraged by promises of snuggles and pats from everyone before she left.
Jimin cried a little while hugging the head alpha for the last time and they finally departed, sprinting into the woods and leaving their safe territory for unclaimed dangerous ones. Yoongi hoped they didn't encounter any rogues. He was afraid that if there were more than two, he wouldn't be able to fight all of them off. But still, he prepared for the long days awaiting them.
After they were gone, Hoseok and Taehyung went hunting for the day. While Jungkook and Namjoon stood guard high in the mountains in case Hanbin convinced the village to raid them by surprise. Jin made breakfast and lunch, cleaned the whole cave, and decided to snuggle with Jimin for comfort the rest of the day. This was their routine for a couple of days until they heard Jungkook howl from uphill one very unlucky morning.
Hoseok started snarling and stood at the front of the hill, ready to defend his mates. Taehyung, Jin, and Jimin joined him. Shifting and standing by waiting for his order. Soon, they were joined by Jungkook and Namjoon and they both stood right next to their temporary head alpha.
