The sky was a beautiful sight, dark blue with multiple little stars dispersed all over; Amala was admiring it from Hoseok's embrace. They had all moved outside, to enjoy the nighttime and hear about her past. They were all impatient to hear what she had to say, she had her way with words that captivated the crowd and they were sure they were in for one performance. She had wanted to go back to Jungkook but Taehyung had taken that spot, leaning into the alpha for some sort of affection, Jungkook obliged. And she went seeking attention from anyone, Hoseok was the fastest at grabbing her attention, he pointed the spot between his legs with his eyes, and she moved mechanically, following his silent order.
"I'm warning you, I talk a lot." She said, teasing them about their anticipation.
Their expression reminded her of a small puppy with his tongue out, sniffing for what smelled so delicious, without knowing for sure that there was something to eat to begin with. Their curiosity was waiting to be filled, and they were craving something from her, even though they didn't know what they were craving. The image of it all made her laugh, and Hoseok nipped at her neck.
"Don't threaten us with a good time, the night is still young." He said.
"Okay, okay, my name is Kim Amala, from the blue crescent pack. I was born eighteen years ago on a summer night, it was hot and my mother struggled a lot, she lost a lot of blood and they wasted a lot of water to save us. People in the Kim pack liked to joke that all that water went straight to my soul, because as a baby, I cried a lot, depriving them all of sleep. There was an old woman with us, one of the beta's mothers, and she used to believe that I was a water fairy; she believed that the return of female omegas after centuries had to be special, so she pushed me to use my alleged power to save myself, but to this day, I have no sign of any power. My childhood was very peculiar, I stayed home with my mother, she fed me, she clothed me; she brought me with her to all her chores. My existence was hidden from the blue crescent pack, so my mother and I never left our home; I was veiled, muted, and kept away from the other pups. My father was the head alpha, and was really strict; he would have laid his head for decapitation before someone found out about me. Anytime I wandered a little bit away from my mother, he would harshly punish me. I was basically born into chaos, I've known violence since I was three, and I've known about my duty around that age as well, I was to be prepared for another pack that I would be sent off to once I turned sixteen. My mother, however, was the light in all that darkness, she was my moon that lit up my way, an angel. She was beautiful inside and out, she was tall and strong and was meant to be a warrior, sometimes I can't help but feel like I ruined her, but she constantly reminded me of my importance in her life. I don't remember much of her, except that she had warm eyes and that she dragged me with her everywhere she went, I was still very young so I don't have a clear memory of what was said, but my mother was a very talkative and social person, so all her chores were done with the company of other members of our pack, and their discussions used to lull me to sleep." Amala paused a little and took a deep breath; Hoseok moved his hand along her arm, scenting her in the process.
"What's an angel?" Jimin asked quietly.
Amala looked at him, glad someone turned the attention away from dark thoughts for a moment.
"An angel is a celestial being, they are beautiful and strong and kind and helpful, they live in the top layer of the skies, and come to help people in need, I met a lot of wolves who have seen angels, they are said to be magnificent, with huge white wings and powers like controlling time or plants. And they protect our world from demons, their sworn enemies, with black wings; they serve the devil, which is an evil being who wants to destroy the world." She explained her facial expression so captivating them that all they could do was look at her with awe.
