It was the first set of fresh air she had in her lungs in four days. Amala inhaled as much as she could, ignoring the horrible scent of corpses and blood, there was a small wind dancing with her hair, hitting her thighs and giving her naked skin goosebumps, she was wearing a small dress made from deer skin. She's been in the same clothes ever since that dreadful evening, and she couldn't wait for the cave to be empty so she could change again. But they had to wait, for the village to be fixed, which would take the whole day.

The sun was rising in the sky, and the sight Amala was confronted with made her gasp, what seemed like hundreds of bodies could be seen from uphill, explaining the smell of death lingering in the atmosphere. She went back inside immediately, running from the violence of that scene. Her alphas were going to hunt; she admired them for that, imagining almost losing an eye and still being willing to make more effort for the people you loved. Jungwoo and Aecha had found their packs and they were still sitting with them, they'd probably have lunch before leaving for their caves. Other wolves from the village would be staying until dinner, or even tomorrow, depending on how long it would take to move all the bodies.

Hours passed, it was the early afternoon, and Amala was sitting with Jin and Aecha at the entrance. When peace reigned, Aecha was a loud extrovert, quite the opposite of her brother. They saw all the alphas coming back with two deer, a boar, and a young bear. Lunch would be a feast, but all she could think about were the cute dresses she would soon have from all the animal skin, Jimin had fingers made of gold when it came to making clothes.

The head alpha approached them and sat down with a sight.

"Jin, feed the people will you? We already ate while we were shifted, so we are going to go clean up the whole thing. When you're done eating, send some betas to help us out." He commanded his plan and got up, calling out the alphas to start moving.

He stopped for a while, taking a moment to admire Amala, he didn't like how empty she looked, her eyes were void, and her lips were angry. He didn't know exactly why she felt the way she felt, was it Taehyung's betrayal? She did bond with him first. Or maybe it was the whole situation? That would be normal. Did someone say something to her when they were absent? Is that why she called herself a whore? If this was the case, he was ready to kill one more wolf for her. She stood up suddenly, taking him out of his thoughts, and took determined strides towards him.

"I'm going with you, I need to get out of here. Mostly, I need these people out of here, so let's fix their homes." She declared, not asking for permission, just informing.

He nodded his head from shock, and she gave one serious nod before moving along with the alphas upfront. She didn't look back once, not at the food, not at her home, she wasn't hungry anyway.

As soon as they arrived, she was hit with the same smell, only a lot stronger now, she ignored her stomach gagging up bile and started moving whatever she found next to her; a leg, a head, a whole body, she dragged the remains of wolves to the big grave they made. She moved the huts' remains to another pit they had made, there were carpenters, far more talented than Yoongi who would be fixing whatever could be fixed. They worked hard, sometimes a wolf would go to the side to throw up.

As they moved across the territory and approached the river, bodies started to reduce little by little, and droplets of rain fell on their heads before they understood that it was raining. It was the middle of spring so the rain wasn't that harsh, it was pleasant for the wolves to be refreshed, plus it took away all the blood into the river. They won't have to wait until the morning then, Amala smiled and closed her eyes, enjoying the cold water running down her spine and legs, she could feel eyes lingering on her person, admiring her, and she knew exactly who it was. There was still a lot of work to be done, but at least everything was cleaned up and it was nighttime, they needed to head back. Once the rain reduced significantly, they started a fire, burning all the bodies in the graveyard, they burnt the whole night until they became ashes. The night was young, and the wolves who lost someone were weeping and wailing for their lost ones, it was a big funeral, an homage to the lost warriors. Jimin was crying too, for his lost mate, who survived as a betrayer, but once they find him, will probably be executed. Jin was crying as well, for everything that he had been through, for the losses, he knew most of the wolves since he was very engaging with the community. Amidst all the chaos, Amala couldn't stand the noise and the bleak atmosphere, so she shut off, yet again, she muted everything around her and focused on her voice, telling her that it was okay.
