No one's POV:

The call that both Alex and Rafael got was unexpected.

Once both Alex and Barba got the call from the courthouse, they immediately rushed down there and arrived at Judge Washington's office where Sanchez, Stevenson, and Fletcher were. Already Sanchez had a smug smirk on his face while sipping his early morning tasteless coffee and Alex immediately knew that something wasn't right and Sanchez was up to something.

"What did you do?" Alex asked while she crossed her arms.

Sanchez drank his coffee like it was nothing while both Stevenson and Fletcher just shrugged their shoulders.

"Me? I am just enjoying my morning coffee, counselor." Sanchez explained with a smirk.

Rafael rolled his eyes.

"Please, we all know tasteless cardboard coffee is your favorite flavor, it suits you well with that attitude of yours," Barba explained with bluntness in his tone.

"Oh come on, consular, I'm just trying to be nice here, so I can invite you to our clients' victory party when we win the jury over," Sanchez explained with a smirk and a snarky tone of voice.

"Trying to be nice, huh? Cut the act already and let out the insults already," Barba asked and explained as his arms crossed.

"Never seen me being nice before?" Sanchez asked.

"No, not ever," Alex spoke out.

"You don't even know what the definition of nice even is," Barba explained while rolling his eyes.

Sanchez dramatically acts like he's been shot in the chest, winched, and puts his hand on his chest.

"Ouch, and I was gonna ask about the little rug rats, giving you and the others gray hairs yet?" Sanchez explained and asked.

Alex cringed. Sanchez is the last person to even give a damn about her adopted daughter and the other children after defending the children's abusive foster mother.

"Why are you asking?" Alex asked.

"What? I am just curious," Sanchez asked and said.

Barba scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"You don't even like my son or his foster siblings one bit," Barba explained and pointed out.

"It's water under the bridge, ancient history," Sanchez said and explained.

"That was a month ago, with the children's case," Alex explained.

"It's impressive how you passed law school," Barba said.

Sanchez scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Judge wants to see you both and if I were you both, I'd be worried," Sanchez explained and he chuckled like he told a really funny joke to himself.
