CHAPTER 35

Third person POV:

Nainika knew something would happen but this is intense. She internally started screaming at herself for coming here. Her palms started sweating and she was not able to move from her position. It was as if the earth under her feet disappeared.
" I am already a bride idiot " Tara retorted with fake anger while glancing at Sunayn.
" Oh really? I thought you would be one at the wedding " he said while chuckling.
" By the way where is your hero? " He asked looking for the groom here and there.
" Ah leave him. Maybe he is enjoying with his friends. Come let me introduce you to Nainika, the CEO of NGC " Tara said proudly looking at Nainika.
Her nervousness increased ten fold now that he would come in front of her and she could not escape the situation.
Meanwhile he came in front of her and extended his hand.
" Um nice to meet you. I am Sunayn " he was observing her but she was still looking down not able to meet his eyes.
Finally after struggling with herself she lifted her eyes only to lock her eyes with the person she loves.
It felt as if her world stopped at the moment his black eyes met with her brown ones. She carefully placed her hand towards his extended hand and smiled. She looked at him as if imprinting his picture in her memory forever. It was the very first meeting of her with him directly and she felt goosebumps when she touched him. Her wait to see him all these years had ended with this exceptional meeting and she could die of happiness.
Sunayn looked into her eyes and his heart skipped it's beat. She was beutiful with round face cute little nose and full cheeks. Her aura was reflecting pure innocence and beauty. He could see many young men staring at her but she was interested in none.
He could see how cute she looked while smiling at him and couldn't deny the fact that he liked her or got attracted to her.
However he is a man and had his feelings so he just masked them and continued a small talk with her.
He could see how her lips moved when she was talking or how her eyes would flicker here and there while mentioning about something.
To be honest he really liked her personality and attitude. Even though she is the CEO of the company she behaved very politely with her colleagues who talked with her. She had a minimal conversation with guys specially.
He can see that she was slightly shivering sometimes looking at him. Her eyes are proof of that but he made sure to make her comfortable as much as possible.
Later she met her PA Seema and both went away to have dinner while he looked at her retrieving figure. He sighed not knowing why he like her too much. He felt a slight connection with her. Leaving the topic off he went to have dinner with his friends and later went to home after bidding bye.
Nainika too had her dinner and reached home before midnight.
She was overly excited after meeting Sunayn and she couldn't express how happy she was. She was on cloud nine when he started talking with her casually and the way he tried to make her comfortable.
She giggled thinking about everything and suddenly she remembered about her letters. Did he read her letters or not? Does he remember the person who wrote them or not? She felt confused about everything and slept not knowing when sleep engulfed her thinking about everything.
The next day when she went to office she couldn't hide her smile which was constant and couldn't help but smile at everyone who wished her.
She was in her cabin when Mr Shahi entered with a tired face.
" Good morning. How is the project work going? And to what extent it has reached? " He asked to which she sighed.
" You know Mr Shahi you are on leave and it would be better if you go home and do the preparations for the wedding rather than talking about the project which is pending for next month and do not worry everything is going great. So you may leave before I push you away from here " she said with fake anger to which he just chuckled.
" I actually came here on a purpose of meeting you and officially inviting you to the wedding and you are warning me to throw me out of the office. How fair? Isn't it? " He said to which she raised her eye brows.
" Thanks for inviting and I will be there. Okay? " She stressed on 'Okay'.
" I still didn't invite you dear. So you should first.... " He was interrupted when there was a knock on the door and Seema came in with a file.
" Ma'am the file you asked for and sir someone named Sunayn is here and asking to meet you " she said looking at Mr Shahi.
" Oh he is already here. Good to know. I will leave now and you all do come to the wedding " he was about to leave when suddenly Nainika said.
" Why don't you ask him to come here inside. He can have a cup of coffee or tea with Mr Shahi " she said hoping Mr Shahi will accept her wish as she really wanted to see him again.
" Um yeah that would be fine. Actually I am having a light headache due to less sleep. Maybe coffee could help. Seema why don't you ask him to come here. Please " he said to Seema and she immediately left to call him while Nainika asked to bring coffee.
Within no time he entered the cabin with a charming smile and he was looking handsome in his casual look.
" Oh hi. How are you? " He said looking at Nainika to which she just smiled while nodding and he took his seat beside Mr Shahi.
" I was calling you uncle but why didn't you lift it? " He asked to which Mr Shahi said he forgot his phone in his cabin and went to bring it. Coffee was served and then only the two were remaining.
Nainika don't know how to start a conversation so she just took her coffee cup in her right hand while looking into her notepad sometimes. She was feeling nervous as hell and don't know what to say or do.
Meanwhile Sunayn was observing the cabin with anticipation and looked at the pictures here and there.
" Your cabin is too nice. It's homely as well as professional " saying so he got up and started looking around tracing his fingers on the pictures. He took a file lying on the desk and tried to open it but Nainika immediately pulled it away from him and he was confused and clueless about her behaviour.
" Sorry about that but your coffee will get cold " she said trying to mask her fear. He nodded but it seemed too unusual to him. He knows that the coffee might get cold but it was not even five minutes he was looking around and he felt cornered suddenly. Mr Shahi also entered in the cabin and said.
" Comeon Sunny have your coffee we will leave after that " saying so he started sipping his coffee. Sunayn too sighed and had coffee while observing Nainika who was unusually scared and uncomfortable. It felt strange for him.
After having coffee both the men left while Nainika sighed relaxing herself.
She knew Sunayn was disappointed with her act. It was clearly visible through his expression but she don't want to be caught.
Yes, that file report was written by herself and he can see her hand writing. He may know that it was her who wrote him letters and she don't want to take that risk.
She wanted to tell him that herself but she is still scared that he may not like her and make fun of her. Now being the CEO of her company she cannot take a rejection which she faced years ago.
It's not about the rejection though it's about her feelings which may get crumpled which she burried for years together.
Her eyes filled with tears unintentionally and she just sat there letting tears out not having enough strength to hide them anymore.
Sunayn sat with Mr Shahi in his car and both were going to his home to look after  the wedding preparations. On his way to home Sunayn asked about Nainika's family background to which he said everything he knew about her and Sunayn was dumbstruck after hearing her story. Even though she looks very weak and innocent she had gone through rough phase of her life and strong one at that. She was almost alone. She does has a brother and stepmom but they are not with her and she stays alone in an apartment.
She is completely devoted in her work. But somehow he felt her behaviour strange towards him today. He dropped uncle at his home and left from there to buy something for Tara and Siddhesh.
He went into a mall and searched everywhere to find a gift to her but couldn't find any. He bought a chain to Siddhesh as he felt it will be suitable for a wedding gift.
As he was alone he couldn't select any gift to her. Maybe he should have come with a girl so that they could have helped him. He sighed and left to home. He had a delicious dinner and chatted with dad for sometime and went to his room.
The letters were still lying under his pillow and he slowly removed them and carressed them. This girl is alone too. Her words were always like she craved for love and affection. She is a very strong person who made him strong with her words. She also doesn't want to be involved much with others like Nainika.
' Wait! Why was I comparing her with Nainika ' he thought. He started making comparison between the two and found few similarities. These both are alone and always wanted to be loved. They are strong even though they look weak and vulnerable. Both of them don't involve much with others.
' Am I thinking too much? Will it be possible that these both are not different but same? Even uncle said that she studied in my college and I don't remember her much though. Is it possible that it was her who wrote him letters secretly? ' he started thinking hard and couldn't understand anything. He was confused to no end. He laid in bed and thought that he should clear this confusion as soon as possible or else he would go mad. He decided that he should unviel the person who wrote the letters and was determined to know more about Nainika as well. He don't want to take chances that she is separate and the person who wrote letters is different. Some of the other way both of them has similarities. He want to try to prove himself that he can find the mysterious person behind the letters. With that determination he slept and got up early in the morning to think about a plan.
" Tara, um can you give me Nainika's number? " He called Tara and asked. He knows that tara will have a lot of doubts but he doesn't want to stop when it involved about finding the person behind the letters. He encouraged himself and took a step forward.
" Seems like someone likes Nainika " she giggled over it.
" You think what you want but I have some work to be done with her help so I need her number " he said still feeling nervous.
" Whatever, but make sure you give me details after your so called 'date' with her. I am sure she will say yes to you. And I don't want have her number. I will ask dad and give it to you. But don't forget you should share the details " she warned him. After sometime she texted him her number and he was suddenly feeling uncomfortable to call her. He don't know how to start a conversation and what to talk. He don't know her that well to call her. He himself was confused on what to talk.
After practicing for a long time and with a plan he called her. It rang for sometime and then she lifted and answered in her angelic voice.
' wow Shahrukh. Her voice looks angelic to you ' his brain mocked at him.
He shook his head and answered.
" Hello Nainika. It's me Sunayn " he replied.
Her world stopped when she heard his voice. She couldn't believe he called her and she immediately realised that she didn't give him number so she finally asked after a pause.
" Hi. How did you get my number? I mean we didn't share our numbers right? Then who gave you my number? "
" Yeah we didn't. I took your number from Vinod uncle. I wanted to meet you so I... I had to take your number " he stammered.
" Oh I see. It's okay. And...about meeting you... I think I will be free after 11am today. Is that okay? And is there anything important you want to talk? " She asked slightly nervous.
" Fine then I will meet you at your office at 11:15am. See you. Bye " with that said he disconnected the call not hearing anything from her side. He was overly anxious and don't want to talk more so he left it as such.
" Why do he want to meet me? " She thought to herself but smiled giddily that she can meet him even today.
Even though she is happy about meeting him she was disappointed that he was meeting her as Nainika Gupta not as the person who wrote him letters.
Does he even know that she was the one who wrote him letters all these years?

Okay! More than 2k words in this chapter.
I know everything is going little fast forward coz I want to complete this asap as I will not get time maybe(I dont know) so better I finish it fast rather than keep it holding.
