Chapter 13

[Next day]

Jungkook's pov-

It's 1:30 p.m.

I skipped university today.

Seokjin hyung and I decided to go out for lunch.

We are here at a restaurant chit chatting until our food arrives.

"So, tell me kook, what is wrong?" Hyung asked.

"I think she probably likes someone else who's not me." I said.

"Are you again assuming things?" He asked.

"Yes. I'm assuming it but I think it's true." I said.

"What if it's not?" He asked.

"Even if it's not, I won't have a chance at her." I said.

"Why not?" He asked.

"Because I've decided to ignore her and have been doing so since past 1 week." I said while sighing.

"And why so?" He asked.

"Because- because-I-" I stuttered.

"I'm listening" He said.

"I'm afraid that I might fall in love with her." I finally said.

"Ah. So, that's what's the matter hm?" He asked as I nodded.

"There's nothing wrong with falling in love Jungkook." He said.

"No but I don't want it. What if she's not the one? What if she doesn't like me back? What if she really hates me?' I blabbered.

"You and your overthinker ass. Nothing will happen. Just keep your emotions controlled and steady. That's it." He said assuring me.

"I do. But sometimes I fail." I said.

"Everyone fails sometime. There's nothing wrong in it. Don't think so much. It's gonna be fine." He said.

"If you love these feelings that you are having for Han-Ja, you should just let them stay. The more you try to resist them, the more they will torture your mind Kook." He continued.

"That's what has been happening." I said.

"I know. So just let them be as they are. Talk with her as you were talking. If she's meant for you, she'll be yours." He said.

"What if she's not?" I asked.

"Then you'll have to let her go." He said.

I hummed.

He was right.

Destiny decides our fate. If people are meant to stay, they will. If they're not, no one can make them stay.

Maybe it's just a normal crush and I was being too dramatic.

I decided to shrug my thoughts away and focus on the food which arrived.

We ate lunch and talked about random stuff.

"Oh I forgot to tell you, I have a get together with some of my friends tonight at a cafe just after crossing the 229 lane. So, they want you to come as well. Will you come?" Seokjin hyung asked.

"Oh yeah, I'll come I'll come. At what time?" I asked.

"10 p.m." He said. " Actually they'll be coming after work so, it's arranged a little late."

"It's fine. I'll come." I said.

"But be careful when you come through the alley in the 229 lane. It's not a very good place." He said.
