𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠... (Rin Okumura x m! Reader)/hurt/comfort

Y/N is a healer at True Cross Academy. Respected by students and exorcists alike. Despite his age Y/N is talented and confident in his abilities to heal, and always eager to learn and improve.

But being a healer isn't the only thing Y/N is known for. He's also known for being Rin Okumura's boyfriend.

When news got out that Y/N, a respected healer, is dating Rin Okumura, the son of Satan, there were a lot of mixed reactions. A lot of which were negative.

A lot of students at the cram school and even some teachers that are aware of Rin's demonic origins are saying things like; "Y/N, dating the son of Satan? Come on, he's better than this". Others were, and still are, against the relationship simply because it's two guys dating. But nevertheless, Y/N and Rin don't care about the negative reactions from what other people think about their relationship. As long as they're happy, that's all that  matters.

After Rin became Y/N's boyfriend, Rin made it a routine to visit Y/N in his office as often as possible, especially before missions, and today is no different. Rin is sitting on Y/N's examination table while Y/N is sitting at his desk.

"I have a mission coming up soon," Rin says after a moment of silence.

"Another one?" Y/N asks. It doesn't feel like Rin came back from a mission too long ago, and now they're sending him away on another one.

"Yeah another one," Rin sighs. Y/N only hums in response.

"As always Rin, be careful," he says and looks at Rin with a serious expression. "Some of those missions you get sent on are dangerous, and I'd like for you to come back alive and in one piece."

"Yeah, yeah, you know I will. I always do" says Rin, brushing off everything his boyfriend just said.

"I'm being serious Rin!" Y/N snaps, which causes Rin to become serious. "Those missions you go on are dangerous, and I don't need to be there to know that you're reckless. The stories I've heard from your brother and classmates are more than enough."

"Yeah I know," Rin says while looking and sounding guilty. "Rin..." Y/N says softly, a stark contrast to what it was before. The young man stands up from his desk and walks over towards Rin, who is still sitting on the examination table. Y/N takes Rin's hands in his own. "I care about you, Rin. You are very, very important to me, and I don't want anything bad to happen to you," says Y/N, his brows furrowed and eyes filled with worry. Rin's expression softens.

"I know you care a lot about me... But I just can't leave anyone behind," Rin says sincerely and Y/N just sighs. "But I promise you," Rin starts, "I'll come back to you, alive and well," he promises. Y/N smiles softly and pulls Rin into a hug.

The two boys hug each other closely. Y/N never wants to let go, he wants this moment to last forever, so Rin never has to go on that mission. Y/N hated it whenever Rin has to go on missions. He's always scared that Rin will return with worse injuries than last time, or worse, not returning at all.

But alas Rin is sent off to the mission. Rin had said he would only be gone for about 4 or 5 days, but as the days passed 4 days turned into 5, then 6, then 7, and soon a week had passed. As the number of days increased so did Y/N's worry.

When Rin would go on missions he would call or at very least text Y/N and let him know that he's doing okay. But after the 3:rd day Rin went silent, and Y/N stopped receiving any calls or texts.

This causes Y/N to worry even more as he now struggles to sleep and focus on his work. His mind keeps going to worse case scenarios.

One week and 4 days. That's how long Rin was gone for, and when he returns he's in less than ideal shape.

Rin enters his boyfriend's office without knocking.

The sound of the door opening snaps Y/N out of his thoughts. He looks at the door, and when he sees Rin on the other side he's both relieved and mortified.

Rin has a big gash across his chest, blood is running down his from the wound and staining his shirt. Blood is also running down his mouth. His hair is messy and disheveled, he's panting slightly and leaning against the doorframe.

Y/N's eyes widen, he stands up frantically and rushes over to his boyfriend, "Rin!" Y/N yells in a panic. Before Rin can even say anything in response Y/N drags his boyfriend to the examination table. "Don't talk too much. Save your energy," says Y/N firmly, yet his voice is laced with panic and worry. He frantically starts searching through his shelfs, looking for something that he can heal Rin with.

"Hey... You should calm down, it's not as bad as it looks," Rin tries to reassure. "No, Rin!" Y/N lets out a small huff of disbelief. How can his boyfriend just brush this off? The young man stops looking through his shelfs. "You were gone for a week and a half, you stopped contacting me after 3 days, then you come back like this?!" Y/N pauses for a moment.

"Do you have any idea of how worried I was?!" Y/N exclaims, still in a state of panic. Tears are starting to well up in his eyes. "Y- you can't do that," Y/N chokes up, unable to communicate properly due to his sobs getting caught in his throat. His vision becomes blurry as tears continue to well up in his eyes.

Rin feels guilty seeing the state he's put his boyfriend in. Rin gets off the table and walks over to Y/N and pulls him into a hug, Rin forcing himself to ignore the pain in his chest.

"I'm sorry for making you worry so much," says Rin in a soft and gentle tone.

The two lovers stay like that. Embraced in each other's arms. Rin gently rubs Y/N's back in hopes to calm him down as his shaky breaths and small sniffles softly echo throughout the infirmary. After some time, when Y/N's breathing has steadied and tears are no longer welling up in his eyes do Rin pulls away.

"I know these aren't the usual injuries I come home with, but I know you can heal me and make me feel better. You are my amazing boyfriend after all," Rin says with a cheeky smile. Y/N lets out a small chuckle in response, "Get back on the examination table then, and if you behave well I'll reward you with a kiss," Y/N says before adding.

"And you are so taking me out on a date, you owe me."
