Laura pulled Rose into the Tardis and they ran over to the Doctor. He was leading against it with his arms crossed, an excited grin on his face.
"Right then, Rose Tyler, you tell me. Where do you want to go? Backwards or forwards in time. It's your choice. What's it going to be?"
Rose thought for a moment at the Doctor's question."Forwards."
"How far?" Laura asked her, raising an eyebrow at the blonde that seemed to be taking this whole time travel thing extremely well. She hoped that Rose could prove to be a worthy companion. The Doctor was great and all but it would be nice to have another woman to talk to. Or at least another human that she could talk to. If she heard another quip from the Doctor, dissing humans, she was going to lose it.
Assuming she had it to begin with.
"One hundred years."
Laura kept a firm hold on the blonde as the Tardis shook for a few seconds, then landed with a thud.
"There you go. Step outside those doors, it's the 22nd century." The Doctor held his hand out towards the door.
"You're kidding." Rose looked at Laura and the Doctor with a shocked face. She was trying to see if either of them were kidding. Both of them just looked at her with their own grins.
"That's a wee bit boring, though. Do yah want to go further?" Laura asked Rose. "Come on Doc, let's go further."
The Doctor grinned and started pulling on levers and flicking switches. The Tardis wheezed and shook as they flew through the Time Vortex again. Causing the passengers to grip onto anything that they could find. A little bell dinged on the console and the Tardis landed.
"Ten thousand years in the future. Step outside, it's the year 12005, the new Roman Empire." The Doctor looked so smug, folding his arms and looking at the two women. He was mildly disappointed when all he received were blank stares.
"You think you're so impressive." Rose laughed when the Doctor raised a brow and straightened his posture, turning his nose in the air.
"I am so impressive."
"Dinnae fill his head with thoughts like that, Rosie. He has a large enough ego as it is. He thinks he's so impressive, but he's all talk no bite" Laura began a staring match with the Doctor, teasing him, daring him to really impress them.
Penny in the air.
She winked at him then sat on the jump seat, she crossed her legs and leaned back, making herself comfortable. Knowing that the Doctor would take her challenge, she watched his reaction.
He narrowed his eyes at the Scot. Something dangerous swam in his eyes as he looked at Laura. He thought for a while, trying to see if she was serious. She always was, he didn't know why he even checked. He smirked, and that's when she knew he accepted the challenge.
"Right then, you asked for it, Red. I know exactly where to go. Hold on!"
Penny dropped.
The Tardis shook violently as they were thrown far into the Time Vortex. After a few bumpy moments the Tardis landed with a thud. The Doctor smirked at Laura as he held a hand to the door, not yet telling them where they went.
"Where are we? What's out there?" Rose asked as she opened the door and walked out of the Tardis. Laura raised an eyebrow at the Doctor questioningly. He only motioned towards the door again, not saying a word.
Laura followed after Rose, she stepped out of the box and walked into an observation deck. Both Rose and Laura looked at each other with a smile then walked down the steps to look out of the window.
