Regret - The Rookie

Chapter 7

They arrive at Angela's and pick up Tamara. The car ride over was full of conversation, Tim loved it and was looking forward to having this in his life. He drops the girls off, placing a kiss on their forehead and he returned to his house.

(time jump) 

Five months later, Tim and Lucy's relationship has grown. They still haven't told anyone yet but they're going strong, madly in love with each other. Tim loves Tamara as if she was his own and Tamara loves him so much. Tamara and Lucy have gotten to know each other so well, they both love each other. Everyone at the station are scared of this duo, of course the gang has helped Lucy out so much and supported her. Grey thinks of her as his own daughter, Angela and Nyla have classed Lucy as their best friend but also as a sister, Jackson is her bestie from the start and Nolan is there to provide some wisdom. They are all grown protective over Lucy and will have her back no matter what.

Today, they are all working and Tamara and Lucy are wondering around. Lucy's mum enters and heads straight to Lucy. She can't see Tamara.

Lucy's Mum (Lm): "Lucy, you're still work here!" Lucy turns around and hides her daughter from her mother's view.

Lucy: "Mum, yes I do. What are you doing here?"

Lm: "I came to remind you that this career is a disappointing move for you. No one likes the idea of you as a cop." This gets the gangs attention and they are all watching very carefully.

Lucy: "I love this job so much and I'm not quitting."

Lm: "Your still very much disowned from when you get pregnant with that child, the father was smart to leave you. I can still see that you haven't lost the weight from the pregnancy, how many times do I have to tell you what to do. It's a good thing you gave her away, because you are definitely not fit to be a mother." Tamara has had enough of this woman and steps out from behind Lucy.

Tamara: "Why are you talking to her like that?"

Lm: "Oh, so this must be your kid. Jeez she is becoming a brat like you, following in mummy's footsteps."

Tamara: "Well, I'm glad she is my mother. But I see why she never mentions you, you're a bitch."

Lm: "How did you even find this brat? The records were kept secret."

Lucy: "Well actually she found me. She wondered into the station and after a few hours we discover that she is my kid. That all happen five months ago, so we are catching up for lost time." A few tears shed from Lucy and Tamara grabs her hand

Lm: "There's no way a cop like you can care for her, she'll be in a foster home in no time. Isn't she meant to be in school? You're already fucking up raising her." Tim has had enough of this, it breaks his heart to see the way that her mum treats her. So he steps in.

Tim: "She can and she will. Her best friends also have kids that they are raising, the three mum's help each other out. She is doing an amazing job so far and she has a family that supports her, we may not be blood but we all care deeply about Lucy and Tamara. If you can't see how amazing she is then that's your lost and she doesn't need to lose any weight, she is perfect like she is and we all love her for who she is."

Lm: "And who's this?" Lucy didn't know how to say it, so Tim stepped in.

Tim: "I'm her boyfriend and love her so much." Everyone in the gang jaws drop at Tim's confession.

Tim: "We have been together for a little over five months, we kept it a secret to figure our feelings out and to take our time without pressure from others. She is my everything and I love these two girls so much."

Lm: "Wow, Lucy. You never seem to understand anything ever. He is probably just being nice because he feels sorry for you (Tim grabs her hand while her mum is talking). Your daughter needs her father, not this blondie cop."
