Regret - The Rookie

Chapter 11

The next day; Tim, Lucy and the girls all headed to the airport. They took the flight and arrived in  Hawaii for their relaxing week away. Over the week, they spent time together as a family then at night Tim and Lucy had sex. 

They arrive home after their vacation; they arrived at the station for their first day back. Tim worked with Metro and Lucy started her first day as a detective. Lucy got busy in a case and lunch rolled around, Tim headed over to her and wrapped his arms around her. She jumped and turn to see Tim.

Tim: "Sorry for scaring you, do you want to get some lunch?"

Lucy: "Yeah babe, let's join the others." They head to the food truck seeing the others and started chatting. After lunch, everyone returned to work and the rest of the day went smoothly.

Six months later; Lucy and Tim were going strong with their family, Lucy was becoming an amazing detective and Tim was going strong in Metro. Angela and Nyla were amazed with Lucy's work and always jumped at the opportunity to work with Lucy. The girls were the most unstoppable team and would hang out and gossip about their husbands. On Tuesday, Lucy was working on a case when she started feeling sick. She didn't know what it could be, it never crossed her mind if she could be pregnant. It got worse as the day went on and she asked the girls to take her to the hospital.

They arrived at the hospital, Lucy got a panic text from Tim asking where she was. She told him that it was just a standard check up appointment. She went to see the doctor and they asked to do an ultrasound on her. The doctor turn their attention to Lucy and her friends.

Doctor: "Well, I know why you are feeling sick. Congratulations you're pregnant. According to our test you are a a little over 4 months."

Lucy: "What. I'm not even showing, could I find out the gender of the baby?"

Doctor: "Yes you can, you have a boy and a girl."

Nyla: "Wait twins?" The doctor nodded.

Lucy: "OMG, I need to tell Tim." The left the hospital, on the ride to the station Lucy had a hand on her belly.

Angela: "Hey, when your shirt was lifted, I could just barely make out your baby bump."

Lucy: "I can feel it. Okay let's go surprise Tim." They parted ways and Lucy headed to Tim's office. She knocked and walked in.

Tim: "Hey babe. How was the check up?"

Lucy: "It was good, everything is perfect." Tim stood up and headed to Lucy. He pulled her in by the waist but felt something different. He ran his hands up and down her stomach, he looked at her confused so she lifted her shirt. There he saw was her little baby bump.

Tim: "Wait, are you?" She nodded.

Lucy: "A little over 4 months. Twins, one boy and one girl."

Tim: "OMG, I'm so happy right now." He pulled her in and kissed her, then he bent down and kissed her belly. That night, they told Tamara and Ella. That night was a special night indeed.

Ella: "Dada."

Lucy: "Did she just do what I think she did?" Then they look at each other.

Ella (pointing at Tim): "Dada." Everyone was over the moon and Tim was brought to tears. Ella then pushed herself up to her feet and started walking over to Tim. She managed to walk to him.

Tim: "Oh baby girl. You're such a big girl now. I love you." He showered her with kisses and she was giggling. Lucy was brought to tears as it reminded her of Tamara's first words. Ella then in Tim's lap spoke again.

Ella: "Tam Tam. Sister." She looked at Tamara and got Tim to put her on the ground. She walked over to Tamara and Tamara pick her up.

Tamara: "Yes Ella." They hugged. Tim was slightly crying at his daughter growing up, he could she a lot of Lucy's attitude in Ella. She was a very determined child. Lucy started feeling unwell and slipped away without anyone noticing, she threw up then after she was finished, she headed to lay on their bed. Ella was comforted and then started looking around, she started getting sad and scared.

Ella: "Mama ... mommy." Tim and Tamara looked around.

Ella (cries out): "Mama! Mama ... gone?" She was very upset at the moment and Tim moved closer to her and Tamara.

Tim: "Darling, your mum's not gone. She had to go somewhere as she wasn't feeling well. Let's go see her." They all get up and Tim carries Ella to their room. There Lucy was laying on the bed and Ella saw her mum.

Ella: "Mama, you ok?" She got Tim to place her on the bed and snuggled up to Lucy.

Lucy: "I'm okay, I'm just a bit unwell and tired. I just need to relax." Ella snuggled closer to Lucy.

Ella: "Me help." She cuddled her mum, this did make Lucy feel better. Tim knew that he was one lucky man. He had a feeling that Ella was gonna be a mummy's girl,  but that didn't upset Tim at all. All he cared about was that his family was happy. Lucy and Ella spent the rest on the night cuddled together and then Tamara joined in. After a bit of time, Tim joined in too. They stayed like that for the rest of the night.

Over the rest of Lucy's pregnancy, she was desk bound. She was struggling to move and get up, always needing someone to help her out. Tamara and Ella helped their mum during her pregnancy, always making sure she was comfortable or at least as comfortable as she could be. She was forever grateful for everyone, they all helped her cope during the pregnancy and helping out by doing simple things. Lucy reached the time for maternity leave but she wasn't leaving cases open.

Tim was helping her at the station, she got up and started walk. She fell in pain but Tim caught her.

Tim: "Babe, are you okay?" Lucy shakes her head, she screams.

Lucy: "My ... water ..." was all she could say when another sharp pain come and she screamed. Angela and Nyla ran over to them.

Tim: "Please call an ambulance, the twins are entering this world." They get an ambulance to the station. Tim asked Angela and Nyla to get the girls and get them to the hospital.

After a few hours of pain, the twins were here. Tim and Lucy were holding their twins in their arms when a nurse asked for their names.

Tim: "The boy is Evan Edward Bradford..."

Lucy: "And the girls name is Olivia Rose Bradford." Tim kissed Lucy and walked out to see all their friends. Everyone saw him come out

Tim: "Everyone is safe and healthy. First meet baby Evan Bradford." Everyone was in awe and Tim showed them the way to Lucy's room, everyone walked in to see Lucy.

Grey: "Hey Lucy, how are you?"

Lucy: "Actually feeling good."

Nyla: "Their so cute, who's that little cutie?"

Tim: "That's Olivia Bradford." Tamara and Ella come out from behind everyone and stood there.

Lucy: "Hey sweeties, come say hi to your siblings." They head over to Lucy, Tamara helped Ella on the bed and then hoped up herself. Lucy gave Olivia to her siblings and told them to be gentle. Tamara was holding the baby while Ella cuddled up to Lucy.

Ella: "Mama, your okay?"

Lucy: "Yes darling, I'm okay. Why don't you go give your father a hug."

Ella: "I want you mum." Lucy pulled her in and stayed there for a while. Everyone was talking for a while, when they turned to talk to Lucy. They saw Lucy and Ella sleeping cuddled together with Tamara rest her eyes. Olivia was laying on Lucy stomach.

5 years later, everything was amazing. Lucy and Tim have created their own family, they were extremely happy. Tamara is 16, Ella is 6 and the twins Olivia and Evan are 5. Everyone loved their kids so much, all the kids were at school and they were all going strong. Tamara and Ella constantly helped their parents look after their younger siblings, Lucy was very grateful for their help. They all lived very happily together.
