Waking up early morning is really hard most especially you need to remind yourself you are going to drive from New York city to Manhattan, and I need to go early to avoid traffic, the seminar will start by nine in the morning and I can't afford to be late.
So I took a bath and decided to wear a corporate look, well that's what I observed during the Sociology conference, most of them are in their corporate look, so I choose a long sleeved burgundy shirt and I tucked it in my black pencil cut skirt. I ironed my hair straight and grabbed my black blazer in case the venue is cold.
Once I am done I packed my breath mints and grabbed some granola bar since I don't have time for breakfast now. I opened my granola bar locking my door, and I stepped out from my apartment then I looked at my car, then I stopped, I made a double look to make sure my eyes are not fooling me.
The Audi of Gael is currently parked just behind my car, and when my eyes gaze on his car, he went down and he is using dark blue suit pants and white long sleeved dress suit with his burgundy tie and black oxford shoes.
I bite my granola bar as I watch him approach me, he looked so drop dead gorgeous
"Good morning Ms. Reeves" he looks at me from top to bottom
"Looking good, I like that you match with my tie" he smirked
"What are you doing here?" I asked him surprised
"Picking you up of course" he said
"Why? I thought we all agreed I am going to drive?" I told him
"Sam, would you think I am going to offer you to ride with me in front of your fellow students?" He looked at me seriously
"Oh right" I murmur, he nods and motioned me to follow so I walked behind him and followed his lead, he opened his front door and I entered his car, I noticed that his suit jacket is hanging at the passenger seat at the back, he then entered his car and get something from his side and gave me a brown take out box
"Is this for me?" I asked grinning
"No it's for the car" he answered, I rolled my eyes to him
"Did you just rolled your eyes to me Ms. Reeves?" He said seriously
"I did professor" I answered and rolled my eyes once more, I noticed that he gripped hard at the steering wheel
"That's two under a minute, remember that" and he started to drive, I just shrugged my shoulders and checked what's inside the bag and to my surprised it is Caramel Latte and Bacon and Eggs wrap
"No seriously Gael thanks! You got me breakfast" I smiled again, and he got me a latte!
"You're welcome" he simply said
"How about you?" I asked him
"I already ate, I remember you like latte so I got you one" he nonchalantly said, wow I was touched by his gesture
"Thank you Gael" I squeezed his arms before eating at my wrap he smiled and returned his gaze on the road.
"Sam?" Gael called me I looked at him while I take a drink from my latte
"How are you and your parents last Saturday?" He asked, I took a deep breath
"They wanted me to shift majors" I told him
"Why?" He asked
"For their image to boost, since they have a priest and an engineer as a sons, so they wanted their only daughter to be a physician" I shake my head on how ridiculous their reasons are. For God sake it is the new world now! We are not living in the 1800s
