We arrived at the convent and Simon led me to the room for the night

"If you need anything my room is just at the far corner left" he said, then Simon hugged me

"I will promise you that dad will never lay a finger on you again" he said as he pulled me from arm's length

"Thank you for standing up for me Simon" I said, he smiled and ruffled my hair then went to the direction of his room.

The bedroom I am in is simple yet serene with soft pastel colors dominating the space. The walls are painted in a gentle shade of pale green, giving the room a calming and peaceful atmosphere. The room is sparsely furnished with a single wooden bed, a small wooden desk, and a chair.

The bed is covered with crisp white sheets and a light green quilt, adding to the tranquil ambiance. The room is lit by a single small window that allows a soft, diffused light to filter in, creating a serene and contemplative environment. The room is devoid of any extraneous decorations and it is only adornment in the room is a small wooden crucifix hanging above the bed

I sat at the edge of the bed thinking of the events that unfolded, I am so proud of Silas for being brave and standing up for their relationship with Andrew. I know their reaction will be bad but I never expect it to be this bad.

I felt uncomfortable here, if I really do have my car I would gladly just take two hours of driving back in New York City. So while I still have the courage I pulled my phone and dialed Gael's number

"Hello Sam, it is already eleven in the evening what's up?" He said over the line. How I love listening to his voice, the genuinely concern very obvious on his tone.

"Well Silas was able to tell my family" I simply said, he took a deep breath, I bit my lips waiting for him to response

"And from the tone of your voice it seems it did not went well"

"Of course, it went bad so bad that I am staying a night here on the spare room of the Parish's convent" I said to him, then there was silence, I heard shuffle on the background.

"I'll let Craig picked you up" he said, and I smiled because he knows what I want. We've been kind of together since summer and he really knows me now.

"Are you sure?"

"Of course Sam just wait for Craig" he said.

"Thank you Gael" then we ended the call. I went out from the room and looked for Simon's room. I knocked at the door and he opened it

"Simon, thank you for offering a spare room in here, but my friend's driver will come to pick me up from New York" I told him. He looked at me with concern on his face.

"Are you sure? It's already late at night" he pulled my hands snd squeeze it. I don't like to offend him by saying I am uncomfortable here, actually I am grateful that Simon offered me to stay here with no second thoughts

"Yes Simon, thank you so much but I wanted to go back I can't sleep here" I told him and give him a hug

"Samantha I am just here for you okay? Me being a priest will never chance the fact that I am still a brother to you and you will always be our little sister" he whispered in my ear

"Thank you Simon, you deserve to be happy, so I hope like Silas you choose happiness too" I whispered back, he pulled me and looked at me seriously. His brows are furrowed like he is asking me why I said that then he took a deep breath and like Silas he kissed my forehead.

Growing up my siblings and I never talked about our emotions to each other. So the feeling of someone who told you that they really care for you is so overwhelming and I could say despite of each other flaws, I am lucky that I have older brothers like them.
