CHAPTER XX: CONNECTION

My phone alarmed and I checked the time, I reminded myself I have classes and need to wake up now. I glanced at this guest room of Gael and even though this is not my first time to be here I am still left in awe on how beautiful it is.

This room boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking views of the city skyline, creating a stunning backdrop that can be enjoyed day or night. The room is tastefully decorated with plush furnishings, including a king-size bed draped in high-thread-count linens, a cozy seating area, and a large flat-screen TV.

The en-suite bathroom is equally impressive, featuring a spa-inspired design with a deep soaking tub, a glass-enclosed shower, and high-end toiletries, that I really enjoy with, I wear my underwear and grabbed the bath robe and went downstairs

Gael is already in his work clothes as he is drinking coffee while he checks his laptop.

"How was your sleep?" He asked as I took the sit besides him

"It was good"I grinned as I pour coffee on my own mug, he just nods and drink from his mug, and he checked his watch

"I'll go ahead Sam I have an early meeting to attend, and of course we can't go together to school, so I'll have Craig dropped you off" he explained as he stood up closing his laptop and placed it into his bag

"Sure no problem see you in class" I told him, Gael smiles before leaving me and went to the elevator but he stopped then looked back at me, I look back but he just shakes his head took a deep breath then gave me a smile again before going to the elevator, I just shake my head, that was weird

I enjoyed my breakfast of avocado toast, wow this is yummy! Did he make this one? I can't help but to think I am being spoiled by him, I can't hide my smile thinking about it.

Once done I went back to the guest room to brush my teeth and changed in to my uniform, I heard my phone buzzed and one looked at the notification and I know it is from Joan.

I really can't tell her what happened, I don't want her views about Liam will changed, as for me Liam is now just a chapter of my life. The friendship we have is now finished. It feels so sad that I lost two of my closest friends - Riley and Liam.

Riley and Liam whom I known since my freshman year at school now both of them estranged to me. I took a deep breath and try to ignore my feelings. I went down to the elevators and went to ground floor, wherein Craig is waiting for me already.

"Thank you Craig" I told him once we reached school, he just nodded and I went down. I noticed that a lot of people are heading their way on the social hall, they all seemed excited about something.

"What's going on?" I asked the girl who pass by me

"They are announcing the new department head of Social Sciences" she said as she pulled her companion.

I looked at my watch and it is nearly eight in the morning, would it worth the risk ditching Gael's class just to witness who will be this new fucking head of Social Sciences? Of course not, so I went to Gael's classroom and to my surprised it is empty.

Did everyone went there? I waited for a good five minutes and even Gael is not yet here, so what's going on? So I stood up and went to the social hall.

Our social hall is a multi-purpose space designed to accommodate various events and gatherings for the school community. It typically features a spacious interior with ample seating.

As usual since we are a Catholic School the decor of it included religious symbols and artwork to reflect the school's Catholic identity.
