"You two will be directly reporting to Eugene Hale" Barbara said, she was the one who interviewed Riley and I and we've been with her for the past three days for our training, now Barbara will introduce us to the department we are assigned to.

"Here he is" Barbara said we looked at the door and we saw a man with black hair and have a set of brown eyes and a medium height and stocky build. He smiled at us and he has dimples.

"So Eugene this is the interns, Riley Santos and Samantha Reeves, they will be with us for the whole term" Barbara said.

"Thank you Barbara" he said, then Barbara left.

"So I will show you two your cubicle" he started to walk and Riley and I followed

"So since you both will be directly reporting to me, this will be your place" he pointed at the two cubicles nearest to him.

"I need you both to submit two articles per week about the magazine we are going to launch every month, you can check on your computer the theme each month" he explained, he then gave us some of the previous editions of the magazine they published

"For today, read these so that you know what ideas our magazines do, and be professional" he said and he went to his table and turned on his computer, I choose the right cubicle, while Riley take the left.

We both looked at the magazine and it a magazine about relationship, love and sex. I read the first magazine that I grabbed and studied on the style they write articles. I checked online the reception of their magazine and so far their sales are good.

"Interesting" Riley said when our hours are up, since we are in school we just have two hours in a day everyday

"Yeah, I am thinking of what I will be writing" I said to her as we both went to our car.

"Well this is it right? Adulting!" Riley said and we both laugh

As I enter my apartment I noticed there is an envelope on front of my door, I picked it up and it is a wedding invitation. I opened my door as I read the invitation, it is my cousin wedding this weekend.

I decided not to go, but when I flipped the invitation they made me one of the secondary sponsors, I rolled my eyes at the offending paper

Family gatherings is one of my pet peeves, because it will be an endless comparison once more, and they will try to convince me to shift majors.

When I was in middle school I came in second on an essay contest all around the country, but they never congratulated me because they say second place is always the first loser. Since then any achievements I do have I never told them.

Now that I am in college, I made lots of accomplishments. Just last year I was awarded the MOE Awards, it is an annual excellence awards that the society of professional journalists present honoring the best in student journalism.

I won some local awards for journalism and debate, and they don't know any one of it, and I wanted to remain that way

I looked around my room, and stare at the awards that I kept on a small cabinet, and feel how useless they are. They are just a piece of paper and metals.

I took a deep breath, I am not really good enough with my family, most especially to my mom. I don't like to be emotional right now, because like I said crying is for the weak, and I make myself sure that I will not show sign of any weakness.

So I went out after changing my clothes and went to Joan's dance studio. As I entered the studio I could see she is rehearsing little kids for ballet, she smiled when she saw me and I sat on the chair while watching the little kids to ballet, I admit they are so cute and I am thinking if someday I will bring my future kids to a dance studio, then I suddenly shake my head about that thought.
