CHAPTER FIVE: the nina project

After yesterday's events I kept an eye on both Andre and Max closely, I had only fallen asleep for a minute— not knowing Andre had gotten up and left, as well as max. I was snoring and had my head laying on Dustin's shoulder as he also slept.
"Dustin! [Y/n]! Wake up." Someone taps me on the shoulders, shaking me awake— I groaned in annoyance and opened my eyes, obviously irritated that my sleep was disturbed.
"What?" Dustin says as he groggily opens his eyes.
I open my eyes to see Nancy, "aren't you guys supposed to be on max and andre's watch?" She questioned.
My eyes widen in realization. "Yep. Yep, yep, yep." Dustin says beside me, I immediately sat up, looking around worriedly.
"Sorry." I say while glancing at Nancy.
"Then where are they?" Nancy asks.
Dustin looks over at the couch. "they were right there. a second ago. I swear, we just dozed off for...an hour."
I check my watch and the fear in me was pretty noticeable since I had gotten up from the spot off my chair and hurried up the stairs, Dustin and Nancy following.
I paused when I saw Andre and Max at the dining table, a sigh of relief escapes me when I see him eating, he gestures to the plate next to his. "I made you a plate. didn't know what you want so I put a little bit of everything." he tells me, all I did was smile weakly.
"It's perfect, thank you." I say while making my way over to Andre, sitting down next to him and laying my head on his shoulder. at least he was okay, for some reason he didn't seem bothered anymore that the fact vecna was after him.
"Morning guys, everything okay?" Karen asks.
Nancy nods. "yeah. yeah, everything's okay."
"I think it's so sweet that you guys are sticking together like this." Karen says with a soft smile.
"Could try sticking together at a different house for a change." Ted added, I rolled my eyes at this.
I glanced over at max and saw her drawing something, mike's little sister, holly, sat at the table as well. Andre was also drawing something while he hummed the tune to his favorite song.
