Chapter six

Natalie
Lottie's hand is warm against Nat's as they walk-in together, she can feel everyone looking at her. No, looking at them. she tries to focus on Lottie. Her hand is soft and makes Nat feel as if she's safe, almost like a shield . Standing next to Lottie makes her nervous and warm and scared all at the same time.
"How are you holding up?" Whispered Lottie
"Ok, I think" said Nat
"We're here" said Lottie
"What?" Said Nat
Lottie pointed to the gym hall door
"Oh right"
"See you in bio" said Lottie
"See you"
Nat let go of Lottie's hand and turned around looking back to watch Lottie leave.

Lottie
Lottie headed to Art class, she knew that Jackie and Shauna were in that class, and she knew she was about to be questioned brutally.
The bell rung just as she arrived into class. She took
her seat next to Jackie, ready to be questioned, but none came.
" you were late lot, up to anything?" Asked Jackie
"Um nope, no" said Lottie
"Really?" Asked Shauna,
"my phone is going crazy" she continued.
"Yeah, mine too, let me check it" said Jackie, taking out her phone
"No" said Lottie slapping Jackie's phone out her hand
"What the hell?!"
"Lottie, why did you do that??" Asked Shauna
"I-" said Lottie
"Well-"
"Me and Nat are-"
"You and Nat are what?" Asked Jackie
"Dating"
"We're dating" repeated Lottie
"WHAT?" Shouted Jackie
"Quiet back there" said their teacher
"What?"  Jackie repeated, Whispering
"You heard me" sighed Lottie
"How, I mean when, I mean what?" Asked Shauna confused
"What Shauna said!!"
"It just kinda happened!"
"I don't wanna go into details" said Lottie
"I have so many questions" said jackie
"Well your going to have to keep them to yourself" "come on, one question?" Asked Shauna
"Ok, one, but that's it"
"Yay!" Said Jackie
"oh I know, have you guys kissed yet?" Asked Shauna
Lottie froze, what should she say? They hadn't obviously, but should she tell them that? They could've, I mean, yes, ok she would say yes.
"Uh, yeah" said Lottie, blushing
Shauna gasped
"Called it" whispered Jackie to Shauna, giggling
Lottie ignored her, the idea of kissing Nat made her blush. She wasn't sure why, her brain was probably messing with her.

Natalie
Nat didn't go to gym. She went to go and smoke alone instead, she just needed time to think. Nat sat back against the bleachers and thought about Lottie. She was something. Why Nat agreed to this whole thing she didn't know, it's like Lottie has some kind of spell over her. She was so tall and smart and well, pretty.

The bell rung and just as it did her phone buzzed, it was Lottie
Lottie
Lottie-Wanna skip?
Nat-Lottie Matthew wanting to skip class?? Have the earths dynamic shifted?
Lottie- Nat I'm being serious
Lottie- please?
Nat-fine, meet me by the bleachers, next to the changing rooms.
Lottie-ok

Lottie
Lottie put her phone back into her pocket before packing her bag and starting to leave class
"Um, Lottie, where are you going?" Asked Jackie
"We have bio"
"Um, nowhere, Nat needs me"
"I swear if she's hungover again" said Jackie
"Hey, leave her alone, she's not"
"Awwww your so protective that's so cute" said Shauna
She was? Lottie brushed it off and left, heading to the bleachers. She was good at ignoring the stares, she was used to everyone looking at her, normally not for this reason but hey, there's a first time for everything. Lottie shone in the spotlight, she always had. So attention was no issue for her. Even though sometimes she wish she got less, especially from guys. She hated constantly turning them down. Especially when they were pushy or stubborn and kept trying over and over again. It sucked.

Before Lottie got stuck in her own thoughts, she arrived at the bleachers. She looked around until she found Nat, cigarette in hand.
"Hi" said Lottie
"Hey"
Lottie sat down next to Nat, close enough so their knees were touching.
"So" said Nat
"What's got Lottie Matthew wanting to skip class?"
"I'm not actually sure" replied Lottie
"Miss me too much?"
Lottie blushed
"You wish"
Nat blushed
Neither of them said anything else

Natalie
Nat looked over at Lottie sitting next to her, she looked good, but then again when did she not? Nat looked at Lottie's eyes, Something thing about those eyes- No. this is all fake. She didn't like Lottie Matthews. She was just curious about her. Yeah.
"You ready for lunch?" Asked Lottie
"Nope"
"I haven't responded to any of Van's texts either" said Nat
"You should probably do that now, soften the blow at lunch"
The two girls laughed
"Yeah"
I'll do that now
Van
Van-Nat????
Van-what's happening?
Van-pick up!
Van- OK WHAT
Van-YOU AND LOTTIE ARE DATING??
Van- So you were making out!!!
Van- totally called it
Nat-what how did you find out??
Van-No sorry I didn't tell you, just how did I find out?????
Nat- Sorry I didn't tell you
Van- thank you
Van- I forgive you
Van- but only because I've been shipping you guys since forever
Nat-fuck off
Van-awwwww your definitely blushing
Nat-ew no
Van-you so are
Van-anyway, Jackie told me.
Nat- ugh ok
Van- shit I need to go, I'm getting shouted at for having my phone

Nat turned off her phone,
"Well that was interesting" said Nat
Lottie laughed.
"You know, I think this is going pretty well"
"Really?"said Nat
"I guess so"
Nat laughed
"You know, your Not a bad fake girlfriend so far Scatorccio"
Lottie looked at Nat
"You either Matthews"
Nat looked at Lottie
Lottie looked great

Lottie
Neither of them broke eye contact, Lottie looked at Nat, her eyes were so bright yet almost calming. She looked at Nat, then she looked down at her lips

Natalie
Nat looked at lottie and leaned closer in, so their hands were touching. She looked at her eyes, her hair, her lips.

Lottie
Lottie leaned in-
"Hey guys" said travis
Lottie leaned back, moving away from Nat
"Uh sorry to interrupt"
"Nat can we talk?"
"Like now?" Asked Nat
Lottie put her arm around Nat's shoulder
"We're kinda busy" said Lottie

Natalie
Nat blushed. Why was Lottie's arm around her? Oh right girlfriend, they were girlfriends, well not actually but only they knew that.
Travis looked at Nat, then back at Lottie, Then back at Nat. He looked confused.
Nat knew she had to play along.
She slid her hand onto Lottie's thy and leaned her head on her shoulder.
"Oh" said travis
"Sorry, I'm gonna go now"
"Bye" Lottie said smiling
Lottie took her arm off of Nat and Nat sat up, not realising her hand was still on Lottie's thy
Lottie blushed.
She didn't say anything.

A few minutes later the bell went, Nat went to stand up, just as she did she realised her hand was still on Lottie.
"Oh, sorry" said Nat blushing, why didn't Lottie say anything?
"We have to get used to it right?" Said Lottie.
Oh, that was why. Nat was almost disappointed.

The two girls got up,
"Do you want me to come get you from the class before lunch?" Asked Nat
"You know, so we can go to lunch together"
"Sounds good" said Lottie
They both went their separate ways. Nat decided to go to woodwork, she found it calming, after she had French, which she skipped. Then, it was lunch.
