Chapter ten

Natalie
"We're gonna play never have I ever" said Jackie, passing drinks around in red solo cups. Great, thought Nat, this wasn't going to be awkward at all..
Jackie handed Nat two cups, and Nat gave one to Lottie who was now sat up. Nat's hand was still on Lottie's leg and she didn't want to move it, it was warm, comforting.
"Ok," Jackie said, "I'll start"
"Never have I ever gotten blackout drunk"
That felt targeted, Nat thought, taking a drink. She looked around and loads of the rest of the team drunk too, it made her feel included, she didn't stick out.
"My go" said misty. Nat didn't know a lot about her apart from the fact she was pretty weird.
"Never have I ever stole something"
Lottie drunk with a-few others
"Lottie?" Said Tai
"Explain!"
"I steal shitty clothes from Tj max then return them, and I have hundreds of dollars in TJ bucks " Lottie said
Everyone laughed
Lottie started laughing too and buried her face in Nat's shoulder. It made Nat blush like crazy, she tuned her face down and leaned into Lottie so no one could see her blush
"Get a room" shouted van
Nat put her middle finger up at Van and everyone carried on laughing. Nat felt weird. Happy. She has never been this happy before, not since she was younger. The team made her happy, Lottie made her happy. If only Lottie felt the same way, but no, this was all fake.

Lottie
Lottie finished giggling, her head still buried in Nat's shoulder. She didn't feel lonely, she felt loved, even though it was fake, it was nice, if only Nat felt the same way, but no, this was all fake. Lottie turned her head round back to see everyone, but kept it on Nat's shoulder.
As the party died down everyone started leaving until just the team was left, once they finished their game Jackie suggested a movie.
"How about mean girls?" Suggested Jackie
She always wanted to watch mean girls but no one really minded, and so they ended up watching mean girls on a Tuesday night after a party.

Everyone turned toward the tv and moved onto the floor. Nat leaned her head onto Lottie's chest making her blush and Lottie pulled her arm around Nat. It felt so normal to Lottie, so right, like a puzzle piece fitting into place.
The movie started and about half an hour in Nat stopped talking, Lottie looked down to see Nat asleep. She looked so beautiful, she had never seen Nat so comfortable, so vulnerable. Lottie didn't know why she did, but she gently placed a kiss on the top of Nat's head. She smiled. Wait, did she like Nat?! I mean, she had never felt this way before and- she didn't need to find excuses for herself, she knew she liked Nat, she had a feeling. But this was all fake, shit, why did she have to do this to herself, she liked Nat, who just so happened to be asleep on her chest, cuddling with her.
Lottie sighed, then yawned, maybe she could just close her eyes for a couple of seconds. She rested her head on top of Nat's and closed her eyes. When she opened them the movie was almost finished. A couple of the girls were asleep, Nat still was. She checked the time. Shit, it was almost one. She had to wake Nat up and take her home.

Natalie
Nat was gently awoken by Lottie
"Hey, Nat lets get you home"
"Nat nodded and got up, still half asleep, following Lottie out to her car.
They started driving, Nat struggling to keep her eyes awake. Shit, she couldn't go home this late, her dad would kill her.
"Can I stay the Night?" Asked Nat nervously
"Y-yeah sure" said replied Lottie
"Thanks" Nat said, dozing off
"Hey Lott?"
"Yeah"
"Your really pretty" muttered Nat, and with that she fell asleep again.

Lottie
What?! Maybe Nat did like her back? No, she was just being Nice, stop leading yourself on, thought Lottie, your delusional, she thought to herself.

They parked in-front of the Matthews mansion and lottie turned to Nat, who was asleep. She got out and walked around the car to where Nat was
"Hey Nat, we're here"
Nat didn't say anything, instead she climbed out of the car and put her arm around Lottie, leaning on her.
They walked into the house and headed upstairs.
"Let's get you into the guest room" said Lottie
"No, what if there are ghosts"
"Can I stay with you?"
Lottie blushed
"Oh, um ok"
Lottie led Nat into her room and Sat her down on her bed. Nat took off her shoes and laid down, pulling the duvet over herself. Lottie got changed and then carefully climbed into bed next to Nat. She turned over so she was facing the window, and their backs were together. She closed her eyes but just then she heard shuffling and felt a warm arm grab against her waist. Pulling her into a hug, Lottie blushed, her heart was beating so fast she didn't know how she was going to sleep, but eventually she dosed off.

Natalie
Nat woke up at  the party, cuddling against Lottie.
"Let's play seven minutes in heaven!" Said Jackie
Everyone nodded.
"I'll go first" said Jackie, spinning a bottle that appeared in the middle of the floor.
It landed on Shauna.
They went into the closet and seven minutes later walked out with big smiles plastered across their faces
"Lottie, you should go" said Van
"Um, ok" agreed Lottie. She spun the bottle and it landed on Misty. Van reached for the bottle and moved it so it was pointing to Nat. Misty looked disappointed but everyone else started giggling and Lottie reached for Nat's hand. Leading her to the closet.
"So..." said Nat once the doors were closed.
"Nat I need to tell you something" said Lottie
"And it could not go well"
"What's up Matthews?" Asked Nat
"I- I um- I like you" said Lottie
"Really?!" Said Nat
"I like you too"
Lottie smiled and leaned in, placing a hand on Nat's face, Nat leaned in and kissed Lottie, Lottie kissed Nat. This was perfect, Nat couldn't believe Lottie felt the same way, it was almost to good to be true, almost a dream-

Nat woke up, arms and legs intertwined with Lottie's who was asleep, they must have started cuddling in their sleep. Nat checked the time, 3:54, she needed to go back to sleep, and wake up to Lottie, well, this was gonna be interesting.
