My Endgame

First pov:

"What do u wanna talk about?" I said folding my hands near my chest.
For the first time in my life I felt like ohm should just disappear so that I can finally speak to khaothung like i wanted to.

"I'm sorry." Ohm spoke looking at the ground. Guilt took over me. He was here to apologise and here i am thinking he would disappear.

I touched his biceps to console him "what are you sorry about?" I asked making him look at me.

"You know i don't like you right?"
I took a breath "and you will never like me too." I said smiling.

He looked up at me with shocked
"I ma-" his hesitation was clearly visible on his face. He wanted to talk about alot of things but afraid it would hurt me.

I smiled wide while letting out a breath.
"Ohm, I know how much you love nanon and...and i know you don't have a place for me in your heart. And guess what being with you made me realise that what I was waiting for all this years wasn't the love i wanted."

The confusion on his forehead was visible now so i continued.

"I agree I loved you and that's because you were the popular ohm pawat. And the main reason you were my only friend. Which made me fall for you. Growing up i always thought you were my endgame and if not I would do anything to make you mine." A laugh escape from both of us because of my stupid behaviour in past.

"But now that i look back i realised i was never in love with you." His eyes smiled at my words like he was now finally understanding where things were going.

"What is love, ohm?" I looked up at him and asked.
He made a idk face looking at the ground making me chuckle.

I changed my question "do you know how you feel about nanon?" He looked at me as fast as the speed of light.

"I don't love nanon." He said.

"Are you making me believe it or yourself?" He looked here and there but not towards me.

"Ok change of the question. Do u wanna know how khaothung makes me feel?"

He's smile grew wider hearing khaothung's name "you realised you love him; don't you?" All i did was smile like an idiot.

"OMG. I'm so happy for you."

"Be happy for yourself too. Because I know you know you still love nanon."
I said putting my hands in my pockets.

"I-i don't." I gave him a side eye for his denial. "Ok fine. I do. But it's nothing to be happy about. He broke me in the past. He left without any hints. I was broken. I was hurt. I blamed mysel-"

"U were broken. U were hurt. U blamed yourself. Where is nanon's story? The whole campus knew how much it broke you because it was visible in your stories. u talk about it.  but what about nanon, who always tries he's best to keep his life private. Just because he never shared a story doesn't mean he didn't had one. right?"

He didn't say a word. "Love isn't always about me, i and my. it's about we, our and ours. U just need few words with him to fix everything. Don't lose someone so important to you just because of your ego."

He was lost for a minute. Silence filled the air.

"What about you and khaothung do u think he likes you?" He asked changing the topic from his to mine.

"I'm gonna talk to him. Don't worry about us we both will figure it out."

"Can I show u something? If it's gonna help you?" He said making me go confused.

"Yesterday when u were at khaothung's house did something happened?"

I was lost and confused. How did ohm knew about it.

"N-no nothing." I gulped hard "why? Do u know something?"

I was hoping he had no idea about that night. I don't know how long I was holding my breath in.

He put his hand in his pocket removing his cellphone and scrolling up down left and right and finally stopped and holding it infront of me.

Khaothung: hey happy birthday. I'm sorry i couldn't attend your birthday party. My sickness took over me.

Me(ohm): ohh-thanks. It's okay I hope u take care of yourself. First was there last night right? Did he leave early?

Khaothung: he left few late don't worry my dad dropped him.

Khaothung: ohm ? Can I ask you a question?

Ohm: ofc. Say it, don't hesitate.

Khaothung:  when are u asking first out for prom?

Khaothung: i mean he's waiting. You should do it quicker it would be nice.

Ohm: ohh-ohk I'll see. Thanks for telling me.

Huh-? The timing obviously showed that he messaged ohm this morning. Why did he messaged ohm after kissing me. And on the other hand he asked him to ask me out?

"This was the real reason I was here. To ask you out for prom."

I looked at ohm expressionlessly. I didn't knew what to feel at the moment.
Did khaothung not liked me?
Was he avoiding me?
But the only right thing i felt right now was..
Talking to khaothung.
