I began to push the person, or should I say thing off of me. Every time they would just come right back. I finally gave up, sitting up I looked around. My room was completely dark. Not a single light on. Not even the sun coming through the window. I turned on my lamp that sit on my nightstand. I was surprised to see what I saw. There stood the twins in front of me. "Chase, Sam! What are y'all doing back? Y'all aren't supposed to be back till a week before school starts." I jumped out of bed hugging them both. "Well, we missed our girl and wanted to see her." Sam replied as he kissed my cheek. "Plus we wanted Mom to have some alone time." This time it was Chase.
"Adri? I'm hungry." Kaelyn was sitting up with the blanket wrapped around her. "Who's this cutie?" Asked Chase. "This," I said picking her up, "is Kaelyn. She is my new neighbor. They moved in about a week ago. I have been watching her while her parents and brother unpack." The boys nodded their heads. "Kaelyn, this is Chase and Sam," I pointed them out. "They are close friends of mine. And don't worry they won't hurt you." They each took her hands, bowing down a little before kissing the top of her hands. "It is nice to meet you Princess Kaelyn," said Sam. Kaelyn looked shocked. She looked from me to the twins, back and forth. "But how? How did you know I was a princess?" The twins looked at one another then replied. "Your beauty. It gave you away." Kaelyn smiled and then looked at me. "Only my brother knew I was a princess. What if my secret is out for good?" Her smile faded. "I'm sure Sam and Chase won't tell anyone about your secret. Or they will have to deal with me. Now ain't that right boys?" They both looked at me. "Yes Mam! We won't tell a soul, we promise Princess Kaelyn."
We finally made our way downstairs and into the kitchen. I didn't feel like making a big breakfast today so I made Kaelyn a bowl of cereal. She was perfectly fine with it which I was grateful for. I am still not sure when she will go home but I don't mind her staying here. She is a great kid with a wonderful personality.
Sam and Chase was sitting at the table with her talking about different things. The subject would be on one thing then on something completely different. That's what I love about her, she is random. You never know what you are going to get out of her.
"Did I just hear something about a frog in a tub?" Kayla walked into the kitchen and stood beside me. "Yeah you did. You should have heard about the lizard and human. Now that was messed up!" She looked at me and I pointed toward Kaelyn. "It's all her. She is the one coming up with all of this. That girl has one insane imagination!" We all started laughing.
We joked around till about ten o'clock and that when Carter finally woke up. I made my way back upstairs. He was sitting up with his head leaned against the side of the crib. His hair was everywhere! "Come on munchkin, let's get you ready so you can go play." I changed his diaper and also put him into a onesie that makes him look like a football. I fixed his hair and made it spike up. After I had him all dressed, I carried him back downstairs.
"Oh man! Look at this handsome boy." Chase took him out of my arms. "Oh and look, you are supporting us." I smiled. "Looked at the back of it." They turned Carter around and on the back in big letters was their last name. 'Parker'. "When did you get this done?" Asked Sam. "I got it a couple of weeks ago. I was planning on having him wear it when y'all got back since it would be closer to season but now is fine I guess." I shrugged. They both came up and hugged me. "This is great. Thank you Adrianna!" Said Sam.
While the twins had Carter, I went upstairs to get changed. I put my black tank top with an anchor on it, my white shirts, and black Tom's. I walked into my bathroom. I braided my bangs, pulling it with the rest of my hair, I put it in a neat, messy bun. Like, one that looks nice but yet crazy at the same time. I put some mascara and eyeliner on. After standing there for a minute, I walked out of the bathroom and into my room. I grabbed my phone, seeing I had a few messages from 'handsome'.
"Hey, I will be coming to pick Kaelyn up at six."
"If you need to meet somewhere we can. Just let me know where."
I sent him a text back. "Okay, that will be fine. We are going to go out but I'm not sure where we will end up. I will let you know where we are around that time."
It didn't take him long to reply. In fact, I only made it to my door. "Well y'all have fun. See you later beautiful." I blushed a little. There he goes again calling me beautiful. Does this mean something? No it couldn't! He is just being nice. Yeah, that it. He's just being nice.
I went back downstairs, finding everyone sitting on the couches. "What are y'all wanting to do today?" I asked as I sat on the floor. "Well, we could all go to the park then get some ice cream." Kayla suggested. Everyone agreed. Kayla, Kaelyn, and I went upstairs. Kayla got dressed in my bathroom. I helped Kaelyn get dressed. She liked to do most of it by herself but when she needed help, I helped her.
After we all were finished, we walked back to the living room. Chase took the diaper bag, Sam carried Carter, I carried Kaelyn, and Kayla was nice enough to carry my bag. We all headed out the door. I locked the shut and locked the door. Making sure the security system was turned on. We climbed into Sam's Navigator since I don't have one.
"You really need to get your license girl." Sam turned to look at me while we were stopped at a red light. "I know how to drive, I just never had time to take the test." I told them. Its true, I know how to drive, I just never took the test. I never had time to. With taking care of Carter and keeping my grades up, I never went to take it. "Well, you are going to be a senior soon and don't forget, your eighteenth birthday in eight or so months. Plus, you're practically a mom to this cutie." Kayla tickled his sides. "You need to get your license so that if something happens- hopefully it won't, but just to be safe- you have your license." She's right. What if something does happen to Carter, how would I get him the help he needs. Yeah, I know I could call an ambulance, but what if it isn't that serious? He could just need a doctor's appointment but I couldn't take him cause I don't have my license nor a car.
"Do I have to go home. I like it here." Kaelyn asked with a frown on her face. "You're just next door. You can come over anytime you want to. Just make sure it is okay with your mom and dad." I told her in a stern voice. Her face lit up. "Really!? Thank you! Could I come over every other weekend?" She asked bouncing in her seat as we pulled into the parking lot. Every got out of the car. "Like I said, you will have to talk to your mom and dad. They are the ones to let you stay at my house this week. You should be thanking them, not me." She promised that she would ask her parents when she got home. For now, we are all having fun at the park.
