As Axel suggested heading back to the hotel to sort things out, the four of them went back after the guys put on their wet shirts back on and returned to the receptionist desk where Marcus and Alexa had initially checked in on their first day in the city.
Receptionist: She stuttered too upon seeing Axel. W-What's this? H-h-how come t-there's the 4 of you here?
Receptionist: Towards Marcus and Alexa. I don't recall you both checking in yesterday with those friends of yours.
Marcus: He grimaced awkwardly. Friends? I would never befriend a sarcastic wolf with her big badger boyfriend.
Marcus: Me and my girlfriend just happened to bump into the fun police 10 minutes ago.
Axel's hands clenched hard on Marcus's shoulders from behind, eliciting a small yelp from him. The tension between the two couples remained, but Axel swiftly transitioned into a facade of a smile as he turned his attention to the receptionist. In a kind and professional manner, he engaged with the hotel staff, concealing the earlier intensity with his typical charms that contrasted sharply with his recent actions.
Marcus: Ahhhh-OUCH!
Axel: Don't mind this one crazy, immature monkey, ma'am.
Axel: We came here because our young couple had a request to make to you.
Marcus: No, we don't, idiot!
Axel clenched his shoulders harder.
Axel: He smirked. They said they would like to have a refund because they no longer feel like staying here during their little vacation.
Axel: Since they found somewhere "better" to stay.
Axel: May you look up their receipt, ma'am? I wanna know how much they paid.
Receptionist: Uhh...sure. Lemme do it now.
Receptionist: After a while, she said. It says here for transactions, they paid a total of $845.76.
Axel: He looked at Marcus with disbelief and whispered. You paid over $800 for a week's stay? Are you kidding me, bro?
Axel: How did you do that without thinking? Did you not read the pros and cons of this hotel in detail?
Axel: He then smiled again. I would say that's not too much...I can take care of that.
Axel: Once I send you the extra relevant details of the transactions, you can allow the staff to decide.
Receptionist: Okay, that sounds good. The decision will be made in 10 business days.
Axel: But for now, we must go. We all need to refresh ourselves...Especially our youngsters!
Axel: They gotta get packing, don't they?
With the discussion about refunding settled, Axel adopted a playful manner again. He warmly wrapped his arms gently around Alexa, but gave Marcus a little harsh push from behind as they walked in the direction leading to their hotel room.
Marcus: He exclaimed. Dude, don't push me!
After Marcus and Alexa returned to their room to dry off and change into fresh clothes, they emerged with their suitcases in hand. The door swung open, revealing Megan and Axel patiently waiting outside with their newly worn clothes too.
Marcus: Alright. We changed and finished packing. Happy now?
Axel: He smirked. Splendid that you listened to us. I know where to take you next.
