Celebrate

For the challenge we conquer—
Raise our cup,
For the pain we got over.
Give our shoulder a pat.

I’m about to find her—
Now I turned,
Two decades and eight years.
The gratitude.

Happiness, unfulfilled.
Yet, I’m still in float.
That little me giggled,
“You’re now adult.”

Like it happened in swift,
I’m suddenly free.
My spirit lift.
I sang in merry.

I’m an adult, I scream.
I ran around the corners,
Through the window, sunbeam.
I smell scents of flowers.

Ten and oktoeight.
Gratefull we are—
The little me, and the other I still locate.
My heart’s ajar.
