The most confused one in the room was Faye. She couldn't get anything from what happened moments ago. Anne had never seen her papa this angry before. She doesn't know but she felt a connection with Freen the moment she saw her. Anne liked Freen from the heart just like her aunt.

"Papa, why did you hit the beautiful lady?", Anne asked with her doe eyes. Irin was surprised how Anne addressed Freen as parents both Irin and Richie thought the same thing. Anne does not only look like Becky she thinks like Becky. When both their eyes met Irin and Richie smiled because they knew what each other was thinking. A smile crept on their faces which lightened the tension in the room.

Richie, I don't know what happened in the past, but I was disappointed by the way you behaved with the doctor who is going to perform the surgery Faye sighed

"Don't mistake me, Dr Faye. You are a good friend to us and Anne's well-wisher, too. As a father, I would be happy if you did the surgery, not anyone else". Richie spilled whatever he thought.

Faye exhaled slowly, her tone calm yet firm. "Don't mistake me, Richie. I'm not upset because of your concern for Anne. As her father, you naturally want the best for her, and I respect that. But this is no ordinary procedure. This is her last surgery one that determines Anne's future. While I trust my skills, Freen is unmatched in this specific field. Her expertise could make all the difference. I think you should reconsider."

Richie and Irin looked at each other. "Freen?? Who?? ", They asked unanimously

"That's Freen, I mean Dr. Freen Chankimha she is Mr. Chankimha's daughter. The one you just punched right in the face", Faye breathed out.

The revelation hit Richie and Irin like a freight train. Rumours about Mr Chankimha having a mysterious daughter had circulated for years, but this was confirmation. And now, this woman was not only real but standing right in front of them moments ago. Richie's face darkened as memories resurfaced.

Richie smiled bitterly. We know her by some other name. She is the worst kind of liar.

"Sam", Irin said in a plain tone. No, it's Faye's turn to get shocked.

"Seriously you know her by the name Sam?" Faye asked to confirm

Irina and Richie nodded.

Faye, trying to process this, spoke hesitantly. "Well... that's not exactly a lie. 'Sam' was a name her mother used to call her, and after her passing, her father adopted it too. But as far as I know, she's never shared that name with anyone outside her family. It's strange you know her as Sam."

"She can be a great doctor, she can be the heir of a multimillionaire but I don't think I could forgive her for what she did". Richie was venting his frustration.

"Dr. Faye," Irin interjected, her voice soft but firm, "is Freen married? Or is she in a relationship?"

"No. She is not. But I know she was in a relationship with a girl in the past. She has been trying to find the whereabouts of the girl for a year now. But nothing helped it seems". Faye said.

Irin's jaw tightened. She needed no more answers. Without another word, she took Anne's hand and stood.

"Let's go check on the beautiful lady," Irin said gently to Anne, who beamed with joy. Anne eagerly jumped down from the couch and followed her mother. Richie made a half-hearted attempt to stop them, but one look at Irin's determined face told him he wouldn't succeed

He waited until Anne left the room with her mum. "Dr Faye, do you remember you used to ask why Becky is still single, how she got blind, why Becky said no to her surgery, why she decided to stay blind, and why she didn't accept Friend's proposal? All your questions have only one answer"
