"Um are you ok?" Asked Nate
"Oh yes. You look like someone I know."
"Oh. Who's that?"
"Um this boy. We liked each other. It's a long story."
"Where's this boy now?"
"He died..."
"Oh... I'm sorry..."
"So am I...."
"How did he pass away if you don't mind me asking?"
"He was beaten pretty much to death."
Nate was silent. He looks at jade with sympathetic eyes. She smiled at him to let him know she was ok. The next thing Jade knew, Nate was leaning towards her with his arms out. He pulled her in and gave her a hug. She sighed. It was a much needed hug. After that they went out back and sat around the little campfire.
"Hey, you should come camping with my family this weekend." Suggested Nate.
"That sounds good. Get out if the house!" Agreed Jade's father.
"Um...yeah sure. That sounds really nice."
Great, we'll pick you up tomorrow morning, early."
"Pack earbuds. Our family is crazy in the car!" Mentioned Kelly.
"The best part is the beach, it's amazing!" Exclaimed Ally.
"I love sitting around the massive waterfall that's in the bush land. It's a secret spot, no one goes there and it's amazing!"
"I can't wait to go." Replies Jade.
Mike and his family leave after the barbecue.
Jade goes to sleep feeling a little happier. Jade likes this Nate. He seems nice...
