The library was a sanctuary of silence, the hushed whispers of pages turning and the soft rustle of paper creating a symphony of serenity.
The soft glow of sunset painted the library windows in warm hues, bathing Taehyung in golden tranquility. He traced the spine of an ancient poetry collection, the delicate scent of aged paper filling his senses.
Taehyung sat amidst the rows of books, his mind lost in the labyrinth of words and stories that surrounded him. He had arrived early, and waiting for Jungkook.
As the minutes ticked by, Taehyung's excitement gradually gave way to apprehension. Where was Jungkook? He glanced at his wristwatch, the hands mocking him with their slow, deliberate movement. Time stretched on, each second feeling like an eternity as Taehyung's patience wore thin.
An hour passed, then another half, and still, there was no sign of Jungkook. Taehyung's frustration simmered beneath the surface, a knot forming in the pit of his stomach.
Doubt crept into Taehyung's mind, gnawing at his confidence like a relentless predator. Had Jungkook forgotten? Was he in trouble? A million possibilities raced through Taehyung's mind, each one more agonizing than the last. He resisted the urge to panic, forcing himself to stay calm despite the turmoil raging within him.
But as the minutes turned into hours, Taehyung's resolve began to crumble. His chest tightened with a mixture of disappointment and annoyance.
With a heavy sigh, Taehyung closed the book in front of him, the words blurring into a meaningless jumble so he decided to leave the library.
Taehyung gathered his things, stood up, and made his way to the exit door. Outside, the evening air was cool against Taehyung's skin, a sharp contrast to the heat of his anger and frustration, and made his way home.

Seoul High School buzzed with the usual energy of students shuffling to their desks, the sound of chatter filling the air like a familiar melody. Yet, amidst the bustling crowd, Taehyung sat in silence, his thoughts consumed by the absence of Jungkook. The empty seat beside him served as a stark reminder of the void left by the younger boy's sudden disappearance.
Initially, Taehyung had been seething with annoyance over Jungkook's failure to show up at the library the previous evening.
But Taehyung's frustration gave way to genuine concern. When Jungkook didn't attend the class also.
With feigned concentration, Taehyung flipped through his notebook, his eyes scanning the pages without truly registering the words. His mind was elsewhere, consumed by thoughts of Jungkook and the mystery surrounding his absence.
Glancing over at Jungkook's friends, Jimin, Lisa, and Eunwoo, Taehyung hesitated, torn between the desire to inquire about Jungkook and the fear of intruding on their privacy. But as worry gnawed at his insides, he knew he couldn't stay silent any longer.
Summoning his courage, Taehyung rose from his seat, and he was about to make his way towards their desk, he overheard Lisa asking about Jungkook's health. He immediately sat down on his desk, pretending to study but he was actually eavesdropping.
He heard Jimin explaining that Jungkook was suffering from fever and headaches. His headache had subsided but his fever was not going down. Taehyung's heart sank at the news. He never knew that Jungkook was sick.
As he listened to their conversation, Taehyung realized that he was genuinely concerned for Jungkook. He couldn't understand why he felt this way but he knew that he wanted to make sure that Jungkook was okay.
