As the school day came to a close and tired students began to trickle out of the building, one brown-haired boy stood out among the crowd, his excitement palpable. He couldn't wait to head over to Jungkook's house for their tutoring session, though there was another reason for his eagerness—he had come to realize that he liked Jungkook. However, he wasn't quite ready to confess just yet; he wanted to gauge Jungkook's feelings first before taking that leap. Right now, he just wanted to see Jungkook as soon as possible.
As he made his way to Jungkook's house, he couldn't help but stop at a convenience store along the way. Spotting Jungkook's favorite drink, banana milk, he quickly purchased it, a smile spreading across his face as he imagined Jungkook's reaction.
Finally arriving at Jungkook's doorstep, he rang the bell,
Meanwhile, Jungkook sat in the living room of his home, idly flipping through channels on the TV. He had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of his tutor, and when the doorbell finally rang, he practically hopped off the couch to answer it. There stood the brown-haired boy, a warm smile gracing his features as he greeted Jungkook.
"Hey, Jungkook! Ready for some studying?" the boy asked cheerfully, his eyes shining with excitement.
Jungkook returned the greeting with equal enthusiasm. "Hii! Yes, Professor Kim, I've been waiting for you." Taehyung laughed at Jungkook's words.
It was then that Jungkook noticed the banana milk clutched in Taehyung's hand. His eyes lit up with delight, a grin spreading across his face.
"Is that for me?" he asked eagerly, unable to contain his excitement.
Taehyung chuckled at Jungkook's reaction and extended his arm, offering the drink to him. "Of course, I've noticed you frequently enjoy this particular beverage. So here it is".
Jungkook eagerly accepted the drink, his heart swelling with gratitude. "Thanks, Taehyung!"
Flushed with embarrassment at his own eagerness, Jungkook couldn't help but pout slightly, feeling self-conscious under Taehyung's gaze.
Taehyung, however, simply showed boxy-grin in response, his eyes sparkling with fondness for the younger. It made every effort worth it to see him smile like that.
Once inside, Mrs. Jeon greeted Taehyung warmly before retreating to her room, leaving the two boys alone in the living room. They settled on the couch, Jungkook eagerly tearing open the seal of his beloved banana milk and taking a long sip, savoring the familiar taste.
Taehyung couldn't help but admire the way Jungkook enjoyed the drink, his heart swelling with affection. He had always found Jungkook's simple joys endearing, and this moment was no exception.
"So, how was your day and how are feeling now?" Taehyung asked, breaking the comfortable silence that had settled between them.
Jungkook swallowed his mouthful of banana milk before replying. "It was okay. And about my health, it is better as the fever has gone, I just feel a little bit of weakness and soon I'll join the school also. How about you?"
Taehyung shrugged, a playful grin tugging at his lips. "Oh, the usual. And make sure to take it easy, okay?".
The sincerity in Taehyung's words touched Jungkook deeply, warming his heart with gratitude for such a caring nature.
They chatted about their respective days, but their conversation was interrupted when Mrs. Jeon returned with a plate of snacks, placing it on the coffee table before them. She smiled warmly at the boys before excusing herself once more, leaving them to their studies.
