Jungkook walked down the corridor, the hollow echoes of his footsteps resonating through the empty halls of the school. He was heading to the classroom, a small frown etched on his face. As he pushed the door open, scanned the room until they landed on Taehyung, who was engrossed in writing something at his desk.

Taehyung, completely absorbed in his task, didn't immediately notice Jungkook's entrance. Jungkook quietly took the seat beside him, the rustle of his uniform barely audible in the silent classroom. Taehyung's head remained buried in his notebook as if a barrier existed between them. However, he couldn't escape the awareness of Jungkook's presence.

Curiosity piqued, Jungkook took the seat beside Taehyung, opting not to disturb the silence that enveloped the classroom.

But Jungkook, unable to contain his concern, decided to break the silence and whispered, "What happened to you? You seemed upset during practice earlier."

Taehyung raised his gaze from the notebook and looked at Jungkook, who fidgeted with his fingers nervously. The coldness in Taehyung's voice sent a chill down Jungkook's spine.

"Shall we start the lesson we left earlier?" Taehyung responded, evading Jungkook's question altogether.

Jungkook's heart sank, his once cheerful mood now replaced with gloom. He couldn't understand why Taehyung was acting distant towards him, especially after all the time they had spent together. Determined to salvage their friendship, Jungkook silently vowed to find out what was bothering Taehyung.

The school was about to end, and Jungkook mustered the courage to propose a study session to Taehyung, hoping to bridge the growing gap between them. After school, as the hallways cleared, Taehyung and Jungkook remained in the classroom, determined to complete the day's lessons.

While they packed their bags, Taehyung made a move to leave the classroom. But Jungkook's voice stopped him in his tracks. 'Wait!' Jungkook exclaimed, desperation laced in his tone. Taehyung turned, looking at the boy intently.

"What?" Taehyung asked, a hint of irritation in his tone.

Jungkook said hesitantly, holding out his hand. "Thanks for today."

With a trembling hand, Jungkook reached into his bag and pulled out a small candy. He extended his left arm towards Taehyung, the candy nestled in his outstretched palm.

Taehyung looked at Jungkook's offering, surprise flickering in his eyes. Taehyung, momentarily taken aback, glanced at the candy in Jungkook's hand. He accepted it without saying a word.

Jungkook's smile widened, and Taehyung darted out of the classroom. As he left, Jungkook hurried to the playground, eager to catch a glimpse of his crush, "It's best to end my day after seeing off Namjoon Hyung," he muttered to himself.

However, Jungkook's excitement and happiness quickly evaporated when he reached the playground, finding it eerily empty. The absence of others left him with a sense of disappointment, and with a heavy heart, he left the school and made his way home.

The next day, Jungkook sat at his desk, focusing intently on the math problem Taehyung had given him as practice. Taehyung, on the other hand, watched him with curiosity, wondering if Jungkook would be able to solve the problem correctly.

Suddenly, Namjoon's voice echoed through the classroom, announcing the start of basketball practice. Jungkook's eyes widened with excitement upon hearing the announcement.

'Yes! It's basketball practice time,' Jungkook exclaimed, unable to contain his joy. Without saying a word to Taehyung, he quickly closed his math book and rushed out of the classroom, heading towards the playground.

Taehyung sighed, feeling a little dejected that Jungkook had abandoned their study session so abruptly. He put his hand on his desk, deep in thought, before finally deciding to join the others for basketball practice as well.
