Upstairs in Jungkook's room, the bunny boy lay on his bed, feeling much better than earlier as his fever had subsided for now. He heard his mother's call from downstairs and a smile tugged at his lips, thinking it might be his friends coming to visit him.
He dragged himself out of bed, the world tilting slightly as he stood. With sluggish steps, he descended the stairs, each creaking a drumbeat announcing his descent.
As he descended the stairs, his eyes widened in disbelief at the sight that greeted him in the living room. "Taehyung?" he exclaimed incredulously, rubbing his eyes in disbelief with his sweater paws.
Startled, Taehyung looked up just in time to see Jungkook entering the living room. His heart skipped a beat at the sight of the younger boy, his usual vibrant energy replaced by a pale complexion that spoke volumes of his weakened state.
Despite his illness, Jungkook still managed to exude an undeniable charm, clad in an oversized pink Cooky-printed sweater that enveloped his slender frame. Paired with black bunny-printed pants, the ensemble was a playful mix of patterns and colors that contrasted starkly with Jungkook's pale features. Pink woolen socks peeked out from beneath the hem of his pants, disappearing into fluffy slippers that seemed to cradle his feet with every step.
Taehyung couldn't help but feel a surge of concern at the sight of Jungkook's condition, his worry tempered by the undeniable adorableness of the younger boy's outfit. Despite his illness, Jungkook still managed to look like a cute fluffball, his innate charm shining through even in moments of weakness.
Lost in his thoughts, Taehyung didn't notice Jungkook's approach until the younger boy was right in front of him, sinking onto the couch with a soft thud. Taehyung blinked, snapping out of his reverie as he met Jungkook's gaze, a fond smile gracing his features.
"Hey, Jungkook," Taehyung greeted, his voice warm with affection.
Jungkook's lips quirked up into a small smile, his voice coming out slightly hoarse as he spoke. "Hey!".
Their moment was interrupted by the sound of Mrs. Jeon's voice, the elder woman appearing in the doorway with a fond smile directed at her son.
"Kookie, look who's here," Mrs. Jeon said, her tone affectionate as she glanced between Taehyung and Jungkook. "Taehyung was kind that he came to visit you. Why don't you show him your room, and I'll bring you both some snacks?"
With a shared smile, the two boys rose from the couch, Jungkook leading the way with a bounce in his step. Taehyung followed closely behind, his gaze drifting to Jungkook's adorable outfit once more. Each detail seemed to reflect a piece of Jungkook's personality.
As they ascended the stairs to Jungkook's room, a sense of curiosity gnawed at Jungkook's mind. What had prompted Taehyung to visit him, especially when he was feeling under the weather?
Opening the door to his room, Jungkook ushered Taehyung inside, his eyes flickering with uncertainty. "Please, come in," he said, gesturing toward the bed.
Taehyung entered the room, his gaze wandering around the space, taking in the cozy decor and the array of cute stuffed toys adorning the shelves also noticed the posters of his favorite bands on the wall.
"Jungkook, your room is really cool,"he remarked, a genuine smile gracing his features.
Jungkook blushed at the compliment and smiled weakly, a flicker of pride shining in his eyes as he gestured to various posters and trinkets adorning the walls. "Thanks. I wanted it to feel like my own little haven.", gestured for Taehyung to take a seat on his bed.
