In the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, Professor Hecat called for a student willing to duel Ophelia. Imelda eagerly raised her hand, and after being chosen, they stepped onto the dueling table. Standing back to back, they walked to their respective ends, turning around to face each other as the duel commenced.
"Prepare to be defeated, Ophelia. I've been practicing."
"We'll see about that, Imelda."
Spells were cast in rapid succession, each duelist showcasing their skills. Stupor and Confringo echoed in the room as magical energy crackled in the air. Ophelia, however, swiftly demonstrated her proficiency, countering Imelda's attacks with finesse and ease. As the duel reached its climax, Ophelia delivered a decisive spell, ending the duel in her favor.
"Descendo!"
Imelda, defeated, stood up without accepting Ophelia's offered handshake, leaving the scene in frustration. Ophelia, with a victorious smile, hopped down from the dueling table, almost colliding with Sebastian in the process. They laughed at their near collision, sharing a moment of lightheartedness.
"Good fight you put up, darling."
"Oh, it wasn't hard, Seb. You know I could beat anyone in here with just one spell."
"Yes, I do. That's why you're my favorite person, nothing can beat my Ophelia.", he says smiling at her.
Ophelia's heart fluttered as she heard him calling her his Ophelia. The butterflies in her stomach made her feel like, she might just flutter away. Sebastian was a bit anxious, thinking it might have been too much, saying those things. But he was reassured when a big smile formed on Ophelia's lips.
The lesson continued with more duels, and Professor Hecat announced their assignment on fire spells before dismissing the class for lunch. Ophelia and Sebastian found a quiet spot at the end of the table, discussing the assignment and deciding to work together in the library after classes.
He smiled, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement as he plans on asking her on the date then. They enjoyed the rest of lunch before heading to their next lesson. As the day progressed, they found themselves in a private corner on the second floor of the library, writing their DADA assignment together.
"So, Confringo has this unique perk, don't you think? It's like a controlled explosion, allowing for precision."
"Exactly. It's not just about the destructive power; it's about using it strategically. Professor Hecat will be impressed."
As they delved into the intricacies of Confringo for their assignment, Sebastian found the courage to broach a different topic.
"You know, Ophelia, I was thinking... after we finish our assignment, maybe we could go out for butterbeer?"
Ophelia looked up from her parchment, a gentle smile gracing her lips, excitement running trough her veins and butterflies almost exploding in her stomach.
"I would love that, Seb."
"Grand, it's a date, by the way. Wear something nice, love."
She nodded excitedly and he felt a surge of joy, the nervous thoughts temporarily pushed aside by the prospect of an evening together. They resumed their discussion on Confringo, their focus on the assignment now interwoven with the anticipation of a date that awaited them after the library's hushed corridors and silent shelves witnessed the completion of their work.
Their discussion flowed seamlessly, and Sebastian couldn't help but smile at Ophelia's intellect. As they worked on their assignment, he pushed aside the nervous thoughts and focused on the joy of being with her. In that quiet corner of the library, the anticipation for the upcoming date lingered in the air, adding an extra layer of excitement to their shared moments.
