The Quidditch tryouts unfolded and the small crowds' excitement reverberated through the stands as candidates showcased their skills under Imelda's watchful eye. Among the hopefuls, Sebastian, determined to secure a chaser position, emerged clad in his Quidditch attire, ready to soar through the air.
In the stands, Ophelia, Anne, and Ominis settled into their seats, anticipation building as the game began. Imelda orchestrated the training match, and Sebastian wasted no time showcasing his remarkable speed and agility. Each daring move was punctuated with playful glances and winks directed at Ophelia, who watched with pride as he maneuvered through the game.
Sebastian's airborne prowess was not lost on Ophelia's friends. Anne, providing a running commentary for Ominis, explained the intricacies of the game. Ophelia's heart swelled with pride, a constant smile playing on her lips. The atmosphere in the stands became charged with the camaraderie of spectators cheering for their house's team.
"Sebastian is doing brilliantly," Ophelia said, her eyes fixed on him.
Anne chuckled. "You seem like a proud girlfriend watching her Quidditch star."
Ophelia blushed. "Well, he is quite impressive up there. But you know we're not courting, Anne."
Sebastian, amidst the intense game, couldn't help but scan the stands for Ophelia's reaction. Each successful goal was not only a point for his team but also a step closer to winning her heart, he thought.
As the game continued, the banter between Ophelia and Anne infused the air with a sense of camaraderie. Ominis, though blind, absorbed the atmosphere, feeling the cheers and energy around him until Anne got back to recounting the training match to him.
Sebastian executed daring moves, dodging bludgers with finesse. Ophelia's cheers blended with the small crowd's roars as the Quaffle soared through the hoops. Imelda, observing keenly, noted each player's performance.
At the end of the tryouts, Sebastian landed gracefully, his chest heaving with exertion. Imelda approached him, a knowing grin on her face.
"You did well, Sebastian," she praised.
"Thanks, Imelda. I couldn't have done it without an amazing audience," he said, casting a meaningful look at Ophelia.
Imelda chuckled. "Alright, you're in."
Sebastian beamed, his excitement contagious. Ophelia, Anne, and Ominis congratulated him as they left the stands.
"So, proud Chaser, do you plan on winking at me during every game?"
Sebastian flashed his signature smirk. "Only if it keeps making you smile like that."
Sebastian and Ophelia get away from the other two, wanting some alone time. Still basking in the glow of the Quidditch tryouts, they strolled through the vibrant corridors of Hogwarts. Sebastian, with a triumphant grin, playfully teased Ophelia, "So, Miss Meadows, what's the verdict on my debut as a potential Quidditch star?"
Ophelia, her eyes sparkling with amusement, replied, "You surprised me, Sallow. Maybe there's hope for you as a Chaser after all."
Sebastian feigned mock offense, "Just a Chaser? I was aiming for Quidditch prodigy status."
Ophelia chuckled, "Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Seb."
In a moment of shared excitement, Sebastian gently pulled Ophelia into an intimate kiss. The viaduct courtyard seemed to fade away as their connection deepened in that stolen moment.
As they broke the kiss, their eyes locked, a silent understanding passing between them.
Their intimate moment was interrupted by Anne and Ominis, him, just standing there and being completely oblivious to what has happened, and Anne, joining them with a knowing smile. "Well, well, well, what do we have here? The victorious Quidditch player stealing kisses?"
Sebastian, grinning, played along, "Caught red-handed, weren't we, love?"
Ophelia blushed, giving Sebastian a playful swat on the arm. "We were just celebrating Sebastian's spot on the team."
Anne, thoroughly entertained, added, "Celebrating, indeed. I did see that stolen kiss in the courtyard. Celebration of a different kind, perhaps?"
Sebastian and Ophelia exchanged glances, their embarrassment evident. Anne and Ominis, enjoying the moment, continued, "No need to explain. Keep enjoying your stolen moments, you two."
Sebastian, regaining his composure, quipped, "Well, it's official then. Ophelia and I are celebrating our unofficial victory in the upcoming Quidditch games."
Ominis rolled his eyes, "Sebastian, sometimes I wonder if you have your priorities straight."
Anne and Ophelia found themselves engulfed in laughter, savoring the audacious wit that always emanated from Ominis. Sebastian, often blissfully unaware, mirrored Ominis in his previous oblivious state, despite the disparity – Ominis navigating the world without sight, and Sebastian, at times, navigating it without a keen sense of awareness.
"Ominis, you should have seen Sebastian in action. He was like a Quidditch professional up there."
Ominis smiled, "I could feel the excitement in the air. Congratulations, Sebastian."
Sebastian, grateful for Ominis' support, responded, "Thanks, Ominis. Your encouragement means a lot."
In the midst of their conversation, Ophelia gently took Sebastian's hand, a silent promise of more stolen moments in the future. The courtyard echoed with laughter, magic, and the promise of a continued friendship at Hogwarts.
