Cherry very quickly excuses herself to the bedroom she's been staying in on the Tardis, dumping her duffle bag on the large double bed and then dropping down beside it and sinking into the mattress like a dead weight. Suddenly, the prospect of visiting art museums with the Doctor and Amy is the least appealing thing in the world to her. Perhaps she should just ask the Doctor to take her home, he's clearly preoccupied with Amy, and Cherry doesn't know how she will be able to face her cousin and Rory Williams. But then, she supposes it might be comforting for Rory to have at least one friendly face on their trip. Amy has just cheated on him the night before their wedding, and he's never been particularly fond of the Doctor, not after the Prisoner Zero debacle anyway, he's always felt second fiddle to the alien. Something Cherry assumes that if Rory can find it in himself to stay with Amy even after she betrayed him will be a lot more difficult to deal with.
She decides to have a quick shower to clear her head after the long day she's had, and she stays standing under the water for a very long time, so long that the Doctor actually comes to check up on her and to let her know that they're about to go and speak to Rory. Cherry shouts at him to not do anything until she's dressed. She wears her own clothes today, opting for a black dress with long sleeves she packed and her favourite red corduroy jacket with fluff on the inside to keep her warm. The Doctor calls after her again, and she struggles to do the laces on her Doc Martens hastily applies her signature red lipstick and rushes upstairs.
"What are we doing? Are we just going to crash his stag do?" Amy asks, wondering how they're going to approach the issue with Rory.
"You aren't doing anything," Cherry snaps at her little cousin. "Just wait here."
"But-"
"No, Cherry is right. I think I should talk to him, you know, man to man," the Doctor agrees, straightening his bow tie, and Cherry scoffs at him.
"No! Absolutely not," she shakes her head, marching towards the door. "Let me handle this. Please? You'll only make things worse. Have we landed yet?"
"Yes, but-"
"Good," Cherry states and then walks out of the ship, slamming the door shut behind her. She winces then, running her hand along the edge of the box and whispering an apology to it for being so harsh. Then she frowns and realises that the Doctor and his tendency to speak to the Tardis may be rubbing off on her. She pushes that scary thought away and heads off into the pub. She can worry about becoming a mad woman later.
The Doctor follows her out of the Tardis, intending to walk into the pub with her, but then his eyes light up as he spots a scantily clad woman next to a giant fake cake, and he deviates from his original plan.
The pub is bustling inside, full of men in bright red T-shirts, and Cherry frowns when she notices that printed on all the tops are a picture of Amy and Rory inside a heart.
"Cherry!" One of Rory's friends, Cherry thinks his name is Charlie, exclaims when he sees her. He hands her a beer, which she politely declines and asks him where she can find Rory. "Uh oh, has he got himself in trouble with the bride?"
