FIFTEEN YEARS LATER...
After the whole fiasco with Bella's baby, my niece, everything went to a semblance of normal. Well, as normal as it can be when you're married to a werewolf and technically a part of a werewolf pack.
My bookstore has been doing well since the opening. A steady work flow was set in place, even when I had to go on medical leave because of my twins, and then two years later with my daughter.
"Zak! Sean! We're going to Aunt Emily's in fifteen minutes for dinner!" I called upstairs, sighing when I heard some rough housing and a clunk against the floor.
"Mom! Zak pushed me!" Sean's voice whined, Zak smirking as he walks down the staircase.
Sighing, I turn to give Zak a stern look. "Zak, what did I say about pushing Sean?" I tried to reprimand, knowing that he was just going to do it again and again anyway. That was how siblings were.
At least, from what I am experiencing, brothers. Bella and I were never like this."To do it?" He says innocently, placing his hands behind his back as he rolls on the soles of his feet. Sean glares at his twin brother, rubbing his arm as he stands beside him.
"Don't do it," I scolded, noticing the smirk that Sean gave him. Like father, like sons, I thought with a sigh. Shaking my head, I yelled up the stairs. "Paul! We have to leave!"
"Alright, alright! I'm coming down!" He hollers back, and I shared a look with the two eleven year old boys. On cue my husband walks down, carrying two year old Hadley in his arms. "She was fussy. Had to give her Ollie before we left." He explained, and I noticed her stuffed rabbit that Embry had gotten her for her birthday clutched in her hands.
"Emily's already called me once, wondering where we are." I laughed faintly, shaking my head. Even though we didn't really live that far away from the Uley's, she was still paranoid about us being late to anything. Maybe that was a habit thing.
Paul rolls his eyes fondly as he cradles Hadley. "Of course she has. You boys ready?" He gives his twin sons a glance.
That stopped Sean from sulking as he beamed up at his father, grinning. "I'm ready! Emily makes the best food!" He chirps giddily, and I gasped - mock offended.
"What about my food?" I acted like I was disappointed, making Sean look at me immediately and his face dropping.
"Uh... well..." Sean mumbled, glancing over at Zak who had a smug look on his face. Zak was too much like Paul.
"Your food is good mom, but not as good as Aunt Em's!" He piped up with a grin on his face. Paul chuckled, shaking his head as I sighed in disappointment.
"Babe your food is amazing," Paul promised, walking over to give me a chaste kiss. The kids booed, fake gagging at our affection and making us chuckle as we split apart. "C'mon, lets go before we make Aunt Em even more mad." He states with a smirk on his face.
"Is Caleb going to be there?!" Sean asks excitedly, perking up instantly as we started walking out of the house. Caleb was Kim and Jared's child, a few years younger than our twins.
"If Uncle Jared and Aunt Kim are there he should be," I nodded my head, and Sean cheered. It warmed my heart that our kids were getting along. That was everything I had hoped it would be.
"I'm just stoked to hang out with Seb and Liam," Zak shrugs, pushing his hands into his jean pockets. Sebastien and Liam were Emily and Sam's kids. Seb was the same age as them, as Emily and I were pregnant around the same time, and Liam was a year younger.
