Chapter 11

Mackenzie's POV

I woke up in the tent to a lot of snoring, especially from Emily. I couldn't sleep at all tonight. I wasn't sure what time it was but it still seemed pretty early. I decided to go for a walk down to the lake.

I slowly sat up and got out of my sleeping bag, trying not to wake anybody. I accidentally nudged Emily and I thought I woke her up. I sat in silence hoping she would stay asleep. She slowly started moving and flopped to her other shoulder.

"No..don't leave me...Harry. The ferocious unicorns are going to....eat me." Emily said in her sleep. I guess she was dreaming about Harry.

I continued to get out of my sleeping bag and walked out of the tent. I headed down to the lake. It was always so peaceful down there and I needed some time to just think.

I slowly made my way to the edge of the lake and put my hand in the icy water. The cold felt great on my fingertips.

I layed back and shut my eyes. I felt the breeze trickle across my body and thought about all that had happened here at camp this summer. I came here just expecting a fun time at my first summer camp, nothing about love. But, am I really falling in love? Am I falling in love with Liam Payne?

Suddenly, my thoughts were interrupted by footsteps walking up behind me. I spun my head around and saw him.

"You couldn't sleep either?" Liam asked with his soft British accent.

"Not a bit," I replied.

He walked closer and sat down next to me.

"So, we only have 2 more days here!" Liam said sounding a bit upset.

"Really?!" I said in shock. "Its gone by in a flash!"

"I know. I wish it would never end." He said.

We sat in silence as I stared down at my reflection in the clear water. I noticed him look at my reflection too.

"You really are beautiful." he said breaking the silence.

I looked at him in disbelief. Liam Payne, the boy of my dreams just called me beautiful?

"No, not me." I said denying his compliment.

He turned toward me and grasped my chin gently and turned my head toward him. I didn't look up, too scared to make eye contact. But then, he moved the strip of hair out from in front of my eyes to behind my ear. I then looked up and stared into his chocolate brown eyes.

"Yes, you are absolutely beautiful." he said as it came out as almost a whisper.

He was suddenly leaning in toward me. I leaned in too and my heart filled with joy the moment his lips met mine. Our lips moved perfectly in sync. It felt as if this was all meant to be, and everything was in the perfect place at the perfect time.

We both pulled out of the kiss and looked into each others' eyes. A small smile was spread across his face. He looked perfect.

I have now answered my question. Yes, I am falling in love with Liam Payne.
