Summer 09'
Chapter 21
**Emily's POV**
The boys have been a lot more distant than before. We only get to talk on Wednesdays and Friday because those are his ''off days''. He doesn't answer my texts, but if he does, it's really late at night like 11:00 or even midnight!
Also I'm missing him like crazy. I can tell that Mackenzie misses Liam too. She's been kinda mopey. She just doesn't seem right.
Right now Mackenzie and I are at her house watching the X factor. I can't believe Harry and Liam got voted off, then brought back on to form a boy band! The only bad part is that Zayn is in the band too. Harry must definitely not be happy about that... but I'm just glad they all are still on the show.
Tonight's show is the final three and will determine who will make it to the finals. I don't know what to hope for. I really want the boys to win, but at the same time, I want them to come home. I miss them so much that I want them to give up on their dream. Wow I'm a hurtful person.
"So do you think One Direction is gonna win?" asked Mackenzie.
"Of course! Why? Do you think they're going to lose?" I said.
"Well no, I definitely hope not. It's just that they are up against such great competition but I'm pretty sure they will pull through." She replied.
Suddenly, my phone started to bleep and I reached my hand over Mackenzie to grab my phone on the other side of the couch.
I read my screen that said it was a "Teen Celebrity Action" notification. I love being 'in' with all the drama that goes on with the celebrities and I get updates every time something juicy happens.
I open the "Teen Celebrity Action" app to see what the news was. I thought it would be something usual, but this time it was something completely different.
'Hot new teen celeb from the X Factor, Harry Styles, seen holding hands with country/pop singer Taylor Swift. Is Harry leaving his hometown girl for a new relationship in the celebrity world?
"WHAT?!" I shouted.
"What happened?" Mackenzie asked with a confused yet concerned face.
"Read this!" I said as I showed we the article.
Her eyes scanned the page and she finally looked up at me signaling that she was finished.
"That can't be true," she said as she read the article again making sure her eyes weren't deceiving her. Mackenzie never believed in magazines or blogs and was never interested in any celebrity drama. "All those magazines are always lies! These pictures were probably all photoshopped and exaggerated!"
"I just can't believe that he would do something like that." I said with a pouty puppy face.
"Exactly!" She said back. "You know that Harry would never do something like this, so it can't be true!"
I thought about it, and I guess she had a point. If this is a real relationship, I will just have to trust Harry.
"I guess you're right."
"I'm always right." she said cutting in.
"But I'm calling him immediately after the show to set things straight." I said making my point.
"That's fine with me!" Mackenzie replied. "Now lets sit back and watch our boys win this thing!"
"Alrighty!" I said but I was wondering if he would still be "my boy" after tonight.
