LETHOKUHLE
I wake up to Lizwi staring at me, and my eyes immediately water. I just start sobbing holding onto his gown.
Lizwi: "I'm okay baby."
Me: "I was so scared." he held me tight until I calmed down.
Lizwi: "I'm sorry I scared you okay?" I nod sniffing
Me: "Am I not hurting you?"
Lizwi: "No baby." he kisses my head
Me: "I missed you so much. I'm sorry, you went through that just because of that selfish woman."
Lizwi: "Don't blame yourself, baby. That woman is just a crazy, greedy freak!"
Me: "I'm sorry baby."
Lizwi: "I love you so much." he says smiling. I lean towards him
Me: "Can I have a kiss?" he smiles
Lizwi: "Angiboni nokuthi ngiyakwazi baby." we both laugh as I pinch his nipple.
Lizwi: "Aw. I'm joking, woza la." he places his lips on mine. His hands gripping tightly on my waist as our lips move delicately. I moan in his mouth as I feel a familiar ache between my thighs.
KaMajola: "Awu anisalindi kuphole namanxeba kodwa Lizwilenkosi?!" We break the kiss and I peck his lips.
Us: "Hi mah/ Mah." KaMajola walks to us and engulfs her son in a hug. She sniffs.
KaMajola: "You scared us mfana wami. I thought I was gonna lose you too."
Lizwi: "I'm okay mah. You won't be losing me anytime."
KaMajola: "Good! I can't be dealing with your wife again shame! Your wife is so stubborn man!"
Me: "Hawu mah." I whine while Lizwi just laughs.
KaMajola: "Hay hayi unenkani makoti, ay bandla."
Lizwi: "Let my wife be mah." he says still laughing.
KaMajola: "Anyways, how are you feeling?"
Lizwi: "I'm feeling better but I will be more relaxed when I get out of here, I miss my kids."
Me: "I had to lie to them, I said you were on some business trip."
Lizwi: "It's okay baby." he pecks my lips.
KaMajola: "That Nhlapho girl is handling everything now so y'all don't worry yourselves about anything."
Lizwi: "Mmhm." I glance at him, I don't trust that tone or response. Jerry walks in carrying takeaways and a Woolworths plastic bag.
Jerry: "Greetings beautiful people!" he places everything on the table, and we respond except for Lizwi who is just staring at him.
KaMajola: "You got everything?"
Jerry: "Yes mah." Lizwi dramatically clears his throat.
KaMajola: "Ay wena ngane. This is Jerry, my stepson."
Lizwi: "Stepson?!" he asks shocked.
KaMajola: "Yes. He is your brother."
Lizwi: "Aybo mah!"
KaMajola: "What!?! I also deserve some happiness Lizwi. Your father died years ago and I spent all those years honoring him by not being involved with any man, I just kept my focus on you guys. Nibadala manje, I also need to enjoy myself and be happy, so please!" she says then walks out.
Me: "Baby, come on."
Lizwi: "I will apologize. It's nice to meet you, man."
Jerry: "Likewise. I have been wanting to meet you, I'm happy that we've finally met."
Lizwi: "Kanti, how long have you known KaMajola?"
Jerry: "It's been two years. I have met Linds though, she's cool."
Lizwi: "So basically we were the only one in the dark?" he asks pointing at me and him. Jerry laughs
Jerry: "Yeah, everyone was scared of your reaction."
KaMajola: "And I didn't trust Letho to keep it away from you." she says walking in with a very handsome old man.
Lizwi: "Cha ninezimanga ke kodwa!" we all laugh.
KaMajola: "This is Paul Hlongwane, my partner and baba, this is Lizwi and Umakoti Wakwami" Mr Paul walks to us and handshakes Lizwi
Mr Paul: "It is good to finally meet you son."
Lizwi: "Ngiyabonga ukukwazi nami baba." Mr Paul then hugs me lightly.
Mr Paul: "It's good to finally have a makoti. We should have lunch all together soon so you can make me a cup of tea makoti." I just smile.
