Chapter 10: Odette's Dizziness

From Odette's perspective, the world seemed to spin. She blinked, trying to clear the blurriness that had suddenly invaded her vision. She could hear the distant chatter of the men, their voices sounding muffled and far away. She tried to focus, tried to make sense of their words, but it was like trying to catch smoke with her bare hands.

"I... I need to sit down," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. She reached out, her hand blindly searching for something, anything to hold onto.

"Odette?" she heard Tom's voice, filled with concern. "Are you alright?"

"I... I don't know," she confessed, her voice shaky. "I just... I feel so dizzy..."

She felt Tom's arm wrap around her, a solid presence that grounded her. "Let's get you to a chair," he said, his voice soothing.

She let him guide her to a chair, her legs feeling like jelly beneath her. She sunk into the seat, her head spinning.

"Odette, what's happening?" Tom asked, his voice filled with worry. "Do you need a doctor?"

"No... no doctor," she mumbled, her eyes fluttering shut. "Just... just need a moment..."

She felt Tom's hand on her forehead, his touch cool against her skin. "You're burning up, Odette," he said, his voice filled with concern. "I'm calling a doctor."

"No... no doctor," she repeated, her voice a mere whisper. "Just... just need to rest..."

She felt Tom's hand squeeze hers, a silent promise that he would be there for her. "Alright, Odette," he said, his voice soft. "Just rest."

And with that, she let the darkness claim her, her last thought being of Tom and his comforting presence. She knew she was in good hands, and that gave her the peace she needed to surrender to the dizziness and the blurriness that had overtaken her
