Chapter 34: the rose's promises

As Victoriana disappeared, a soft rustling sound brought Odette's attention back to the room. She turned around, her eyes landing on a beautiful rose that lay on the bed. Its vibrant red petals stood out against the white sheets, its beauty undeniable.

Odette picked up the rose, a smile spreading across her face. "My mom knew that I like roses so much," she said, her voice filled with affection. She traced the petals with her fingers, the soft texture reminding her of the love her mother had for her.

Tom watched her, his heart swelling with love for Odette. He loved seeing her happy, loved the way her eyes lit up when she smiled. He couldn't help but join in her happiness, his own smile mirroring hers.

"So, you want more roses, huh? I will give you more," he said, his voice teasing. He loved the way her eyes sparkled at his promise, the way her smile widened. He knew then that he would do anything to keep that smile on her face.

As the day dawned, the room was filled with the sweet scent of the rose. It was a symbol of their love, a promise of their shared future. And as they sat there, basking in the warmth of their love, they knew that they had a lot to look forward to.

The next morning, the first rays of sunlight found Asteria awake and full of energy. She slipped out of bed quietly, not wanting to wake her parents. With a mischievous glint in her eyes, she made her way to the garden.

Bill, Gustav, and George were already in the garden, tending to the plants and flowers. Seeing Asteria, they froze in panic. They knew how protective Tom and Odette were of their little girl.

"What are you doing here, little one?" Bill asked, trying to keep his voice steady. Asteria turned to look at him, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I want to bring my mom some roses," she declared, her voice filled with determination.

Bill tried to reason with her. "Wait for your parents to wake up, okay?" he suggested, hoping she would listen. But Asteria had other plans. "Umm, I already took one rose," she confessed, holding up a rose in her hand.

Bill's heart skipped a beat. He quickly put down his tools, rushing over to Asteria. He checked her hands for any cuts or wounds, worried that she might have hurt herself. But Asteria just chuckled, finding his concern amusing.

Despite the initial panic, the morning turned out to be a memorable one. Asteria's innocent mischief brought laughter and joy to the garden, her presence brightening up the day. And as they watched her, Bill, Gustav, and George couldn't help but smile. After all, it was not every day that they got to share such moments with the little girl.

As the morning sun rose higher, Odette and Tom emerged from the mansion, their eyes still heavy with sleep. They made their way towards the garden, drawn by the sound of laughter and chatter.

They found Asteria in the midst of Bill, Gustav, and George, her laughter ringing out in the quiet morning. Seeing the scene before them, Tom and Odette couldn't help but smile. Their little girl was growing up, making memories of her own.

"Good morning," Tom greeted, his voice carrying across the garden. Bill, who was still engrossed in his conversation with Asteria, jumped in surprise. He turned to look at Tom, his face a picture of shock.

Tom and Odette burst into laughter, their chuckles echoing in the garden. The sight of Bill's surprised face was too much for them, their laughter growing louder with each passing second.

In the midst of their laughter, Asteria walked over to them, a rose in her hand. She held it out to them, her face beaming with pride. "For you, mommy and daddy," she said, her voice filled with love.

Tom and Odette accepted the rose, their hearts filled with warmth. They thanked Asteria, pulling her into a hug. As they stood there, a family united by love, they knew they were blessed. And as the morning gave way to a new day, they looked forward to creating more such beautiful memories.

As the laughter subsided, Asteria tugged at Odette's dress, her small face scrunching up in a cute frown. "Mommy, Daddy, I'm hungry," she declared, her voice full of determination.

Tom and Odette couldn't help but chuckle at her adorable demand. "Alright, sweetheart, let's go inside and get you something to eat," Tom said, ruffling her hair affectionately.

With that, they made their way back into the mansion. Odette headed straight to the kitchen, ready to whip up a delicious breakfast for their little girl. She loved cooking for her family, finding joy in the simple act of preparing meals.

Meanwhile, Tom took Asteria to the living room, ready to keep her entertained while Odette cooked. He pulled out her favorite toys, settling down on the floor with her. The room was soon filled with their laughter, their playtime creating a cheerful atmosphere.

As Odette cooked and Tom played with Asteria, the mansion was filled with a sense of warmth and love. It was a typical morning for them, but each moment was special, each memory precious. And as they went about their morning, they couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and happiness that filled their home
