Walker sat eerily calm behind his desk. Upon seeing his daughter he smiled. He must have gotten word that Casey was alive and well since he didn't seem at all surprised to see her.
Burns and Murphy stood next to his desk, one on each side. They had their guns still holstered."If I said I was totally surprised I'd be lying." Walked said to his daughter. "You've been growing closer to your friends in Maple Brook, while at the same time becoming more distant from me."
"They're my friends, dad. You wanted me to bring them back so you can KILL them?" Jenna asked.
"They're in the way, sweetheart." He replied, simply.
"And what about the kids? the trainees. Were they in the way too? Please tell me that was an accident."Walker finally stood. "Jenna, pumpkin...What I needed to do here, was to create a facade. I needed it to look like there was a reason for all of this...But the only reason, from the very beginning, was the child."
Walker wasn't even holding back anymore. He wasn't trying to hide anything. Perhaps it was because his empire was crumbling around him, or maybe he thought the truth would set him free. Whatever it was, he was exposing all his secrets.
"Who ARE you?" Jenna asked him through her tears.
"I'm your father!" He yelled. A momentary lapse of composure. He quickly gathered himself. "We can take what Tyler has and use it for ourselves. Just me and you, sweetheart. We can leave this place. Start over anywhere we want. We can live forever.""You think I would go with you? You think I'm going to forgive you for killing all those kids after you kidnapped some of them? Took them from their families? You tried to kill my friends and my boyfriend? You're insane, dad. You realize that, don't you?" Jenna said.
Tyler stood behind Matt and Casey, only peeking around his dad to get a look at Walker.
"Is that him?" Walker asked. "Is that the child?" He started to come around his desk but stopped when Matt and Casey aimed their guns at him.Burns and Murphy still stood motionless.
"I've been looking and preparing for this young man my whole like." Walker said.
"He's a little boy." Matt replied. "And you'll never lay a hand on him.""You really think you can get out of here alive?" Walker asked. "Do you know what I got in my basement here?"
"This place is going down tonight." Casey said. "The only question is whether or not you're going down with it."Walker pulled open one of the drawers of his desk. "I have a button right here. If I push it, it'll release ten of those monsters into the halls of this facility. I take it your friends are currently here with you? You think they can take on ten of my starving creatures?"
They couldn't see the button but the look on Jenna's face told them he wasn't bluffing.
"Let me explain it to you." Walker continued. "Monsters are not merely born, they are created. Yet, the world always chooses to deny this truth. Until one day they have no other choice but to look on in horror as the creation shows them what a true monster is capable of.""You're sick." Casey said to him.
Matt knew he had to stall. He had to give his friends more time and make sure they were out of the building in case Walker decided to push the button and unleash the monsters."What do you think Tyler can do for you? Why do you want him?" Matt asked.
"You really don't know do you?" Walker said with a laugh. "It's in his blood." He whispered. "If I can get what he has, there's no telling what I could do. The powers I could have. The immortality."
