"I think this timeline is perfect," Satya said, her gaze sweeping over Xavier and their subordinates

"I think this timeline is perfect," Satya said, her gaze sweeping over Xavier and their subordinates. "Does anyone have any suggestions to make?"

Xavier arched a brow, leaning back in his chair. "I think it's too tight. We won't be able to manage it in just two months," he said, turning his sharp gaze to the others seated around the conference room. "We have other things to handle as well."

The room collectively stared at him, their expressions a mix of reluctant agreement and silent submission—'Yeah, you're probably right, but we're not saying a damn thing until you two bosses decide whatever the fuck you want.' Xavier rolled his eyes in irritation.

"Mr. Joseph, we cannot extend it," Satya replied, her tone heavy with exasperation.

"May I?"

The honeyed voice cut through the tension like a gentle breeze, drawing every eye to its owner. Xavier's gaze snapped to Krithika, who had raised her petite hand halfway into the air. Her face glowed like the moonlit sky, radiant and serene, with a morning warmth that made him stop breathing for a moment. He quickly masked his gawking, giving her a nod to continue.

"If we already have the designs ready, two months should be practically enough," she began, her voice calm yet commanding; completely ignoring him as if he didn't exist. "If we plan things thoroughly from the start and approach this differently, rather than relying on our usual workflow," she continued, "it would help us understand the requirements for this project and allow us to adjust our prior commitments as well."

Her gaze shifted to Satya, accompanied by a polite smile that seemed to glow with sincerity.

"Thank you, Krithika," Satya said, visibly pleased.

Xavier lowered his head, a soft curse slipping under his breath. His left hand throbbed as he clenched it in his coat pocket, the pain grounding him against a surge of inexplicable frustration.

"Yes, that should be a better strategy," Satya added, her attention flickering back to him. "What do you think, Mr. Joseph?"

He sighed audibly, his shoulders stiffening. "I don't want to commit to something that could fail. That's not what Xhasis is about," he said, his voice steady yet detached. He turned to address the room. "I need everyone's word on this. Every single one of you."

Mr. Rathna Raja Rathore, the assistant manager from Quality Control, nodded immediately. "Sir, I agree with Ms. Krithika," he said, his lips curving into a friendly smile directed at her.

Krithika returned it with a bright, effortless smile.

Xavier's jaw tightened, his eyes fixating on her lips.
