In the kitchen, (Y/N) moved about with a newfound sense of lightness, the weight of Adam's presence beside her bringing a comforting assurance. She hummed a soft tune as she cracked eggs into a bowl, the aroma of sizzling bacon filling the air.
"So, Adam," she began, glancing toward the invisible figure beside her, "what do you think we should make for breakfast? Something special to celebrate your arrival."
Adam smiled warmly, his ethereal presence radiating warmth. "How about some pancakes with fresh berries and whipped cream? Or maybe some cinnamon French toast?"
(Y/N)'s eyes lit up with excitement. "Oh, those both sound amazing! Let's do both!" she exclaimed, reaching for the ingredients with renewed enthusiasm.
As they worked together to prepare the breakfast, (Y/N)'s parents, (M/N) and (F/N), listened in from the living room. "So do you want me to make you plate?" ... "Okay then."
At first, they exchanged puzzled glances, unsure of who (Y/N) was talking to. But as they watched her animated conversation with empty air, realization dawned on them.
"Is she... talking to herself?" (M/N) whispered, her brow furrowing with concern.
(F/N) shrugged, his attention still focused on the television. "Probably just messing around. You know how she is."
But as (Y/N)'s laughter floated into the living room, accompanied by snippets of conversation with an unseen companion, (M/N) couldn't shake the feeling of unease gnawing at her.
In the kitchen, (Y/N) couldn't contain her excitement as she flipped pancakes and drizzled syrup with Adam's guidance. "And then, the angel said to the bartender, 'I don't need a drink, I'm already on cloud nine!'" She laughed, her eyes sparkling. Adam chuckled along with her. "Oh, Adam."
As (Y/N) carried the plates of breakfast to the living room, setting them down on her parents' TV trays, she couldn't help but continue her conversation with Adam. His jokes and stories filled the air, eliciting laughter and smiles from her lips.
Her parents exchanged concerned glances as they watched their daughter interact with someone they couldn't see. (M/N) leaned closer to (F/N), her voice barely above a whisper. "Do you think she's okay? Maybe we should talk to her."
(F/N) shook his head, dismissing her worries. "Nah, she's just messing around. Probably trying to prank us or something. She'll drop the act soon enough."
But as (Y/N) continued to laugh and talk, her parents couldn't shake the feeling of unease settling in the pit of their stomachs. They exchanged a silent glance, their concern growing with each passing moment.
In the kitchen, (Y/N) poured herself a cup of coffee, her heart light with the joy of having Adam by her side. "Thanks for making breakfast extra special, Adam," she said, her voice filled with gratitude.
Adam smiled warmly, his presence a comforting presence. "Anytime, (Y/N). I'm here to make every moment with you as special as can be."
As (Y/N) took a sip of her coffee, she felt a sense of peace wash over her. With Adam by her side, she knew she could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
