ALEXANDRIA

"You didn't ask her to be your date to the ball yet?" Ana asked in disbelief, looking at me as if I've grown three heads.

I groaned loudly, banging my head on the table while cursing her in my mind for having a loud mouth. She laughed at my embarrassment, clutching her stomach like a weirdo making me shot her a glare. "Geez." She breathes out, before continuing. "You look like your girlfriend right now, it's so bloody scary."

Squinting my eyes at her, I tilted my head perplexed, but she just waved me off. "Is that how it is? When you spend time with your partner most of the day?" She wondered before gasping loudly. "Noooo! I will not look like Cedric. Over my dead body!"

I huffed in irritation and amusement. Sometimes, Ana can be a bit random and as much as she annoys me so much, I find it endearing that she's not trying too hard to make me laugh, she has the personality of an entertainer.

"I would've thought you would want this face for the rest of your life, love." A voice chimed in, their body sprawling on the seat right beside me with a grumble. "I am deeply, irrevocably, offended."

Ana wasn't faced by her boyfriend's offended frown before conjuring a mirror to look at her beloved face. "Oh thank Merlin, I look good as always." She muttered, relieved, making her sister roll her eyes at Ana's dramatics.

"I wish it changed though, you look more horrible than usual." Cho teased before gasping at the intense glare Ana shot her way.

I chuckled at their banter before sighing again, stuffing my face in my arm dejectedly and groaned. I felt a comforting hand on my back trying to sooth my inner turmoil and heard Ana's motherly voice. "What is it, sweetie?" She sweetly asked, trying not to scare me off of opening up to her and it comforts me somehow.

Glancing back up, I pout at her, my eyes misting with unshed tears like a child trying hard not to cry. "I don't know how to ask my girlfriend to the ball."

Ana gasped, squishing my cheeks together. "Oh you poor thing." She cooed, marveling at the child-like side of me that I've shown her for the first time, but she was not the only one. Cedric had this stupid smile on his face that I want to wiped off with an Avada. Cho's blushing face when she saw how hard I was pouting and Luna who was far across the table has this broad smile on her face almost like she's a proud mother.

I hid my face in arm again, feeling embarrassed at the affection they were giving me. "Stop!" I whined, dragging the word unconsciously causing the Ana and Cedric to lightly chuckle at the way I was acting.

I'm guessing they are happy to see me trying to lose some of the boundaries and walls that I created to protect myself and letting them in little by little.

Anna patted my head adoringly. "There there. It'll be okay, Lexa."

I huffed again, not seeing everything will be okay at all. "Okay okay. Do you have anything in mind to do at all?" Cedric questioned causing me to look at him dejectedly while shaking my head.

I've never been a romantic person. I splurge people with affection and things, but I've never been a romantic one who knows their way to woo people. The closest romantic thing I planned was my first date with Pansy and it'll never happen perfectly without the help of these two and my parents.

Luna cast me a look before somewhat floating towards where I was sitting. She has this limited edition Quibbler copy she positioned right infront of me to see, but it was upside down, like usual. "The weather is nice tonight. Don't we love a good fly once in awhile?" She muttered, her whimsical voice carried out until she was out of sight.
