Snowbell O'Mooney

There was screaming in the O'Mooney residence fairly early in the morning. Mostly from the youngest in the house, an eleven-year-old girl named Snowbell. The other shouts were from her older brother, Morgan, telling to shut up.

She couldn't help it because her Hogwarts letter just came. She was still in her pajamas and had to be around 5 am, which was odd because she was never up at this time. For some reason, she had been up early today, which was very unlike her.

Her cat, Magnus, had been the only other one up. His yellow-green eyes peered at her as she rose with the sun. "Morning Magnus..." she muttered sleepily, her Irish accent thick with her morning voice.

The small cat meowed at her before leaving her room only to return moments later with a letter in his mouth. He jumped on the bed and deposited it on her lap. "What's this?"  she asked while petting Magnus's grey and pink spotted fur (a potion had spilled on Magnus and that's how it stayed).

"Ms. S. O'Mooney

Second Bedroom

Mountain Hollow

Ardara

Donegal"

Snowbell read the address out loud before flipping it over. A red wax seal was on the back keeping the letter close. The seal was what made her scream. It was a Hogwarts seal. After a few second screaming match with her brother through the walls she ripped open the letter

            Dear Ms. O'Mooney,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

             Yours sincerely,

            Minerva McGonagall
             Deputy Headmistress

She read through the letter and equipment list quickly. "Damn I can't bring my broom." She looked over at her Cloud Cutter 1968 sadly. "but I can take you bud!" she scooped up her cat and nuzzled him lovingly. "Maybe we can find you a cute lady cat while we're there." Magnus meowed loudly, "Or a nice lad cat. I don't judge."

When the sun had risen higher in the sky she went downstairs and wrote a positive reply and then sent it off with Morgan's owl, Lucian.

It was still early June but the days flew fast and eventually it was time for all the students to start shopping for school supplies.

                Marina Sharpe

On one end of Diagon alley was the Malfoy family accompanied by a first year blonde girl that almost looked like she could be part of the family, except this girl was Marina Sharpe. Like the Malfoys she was a pureblood, but unlike her company she is from a family of Ravenclaws. She was the childhood playmate of none other than Draco Malfoy himself. Everyone, including her own family, believed that the family of Slytherins had influenced her so much that she too would join the ranks of the Slytherin household.

"Come along Marina." Lucius called as he noticed the girl was dragging behind. Marina didn't come to the alley often so her head was whipping in every direction to take in everything around her. The little one sped up and took her spot next to her friend.
