Willow Organa

Willow had always been a morning person, she woke up at six even on the days she had off. The morning after the sorting she was the first one up, she had no idea what time it was but it was surely in the early morning. She reached sleepily for the clock that was on one of her shelves.

It blinked at 6:32 giving her a little over an hour before breakfast started. She decided it would be a good time to start getting ready. Willow lazily crawled out of bed to where she had stashed her uniform and other supplies. She padded barefoot through the quiet hallways in search of the bathroom.

She found it and got ready for the day quickly got ready. She pushed the door open just as the girl in her room, Clara, was about to open it. Clara gave a small squeak in surprise before ducking into the bathroom. Willow didn't think this girl would talk much during the rest of the year.

When she returned to her dorm room she noticed her other three roommates were gone, which was odd because she hadn't seen them in the corridor. She grabbed her things for the day and went to the common room. The room was decently packed when they got there; several of the older students were finishing their summer homework.

Each table was filled except for one table that had one boy sitting at it doodling on a piece of parchment, deciding that it was her best decision right now. She padded over to the table and placed a hand on the chair across from him. "Is this seat taken?" she asked.

The boy stilled his quill and looked at her with an innocent smile. and He had gold colored hair that was messy. The boy that was probably a first year like her with skin paler than snow, his eye the color as his hair, gold. He seemed friendly enough.

The boy smile widened "Of course!" his voice was super cheerful. The chair squeaked against the wood floor as she pulled it out and took a seat. Willow bent over her bag to make sure she had everything when she felt eyes on her.

The guy was still smiling at her, was he waiting for her to introduce herself? "I'm Willow." She said. He lit up as she said it.

"I'm Albert, but you can call me Al this is my 1st year, a pleasure to meet you." He raised an ink-smeared hand to shake which Willow took willingly not even caring that the ink would stain her hand.

The breakfast bell rang and Willow started to get up, "Are you coming too?" she asked.

"Oh no, I'm going to meet my brother." He said with a smile, "He's a second year."

"Well that's lovely, I'll see you around Al."

"Bye Willow!"

Reginald Fiddlestein

The Great Hall was moderately full when he and Willow, who he had met up outside the Hall, took a seat at the table. A floating basket of toast slowly made its way over to them and lowering itself so the two could reach it easily. Willow took a slice and Reginald took none in favor of the hash browns sitting in a bowl on the table.

"Apparently we are getting our timetables today." She said while neatly buttering her toast. Reginald hummed in acknowledgment while scooping a lump of the fried potatoes into his mouth. "I heard that we are paired up with Ravenclaw in most of the time.

"I thought it was Gryffindor." Reggie pondered. Willow shrugged and turned back to the floating jug of orange juice. Suddenly the doors opened and five Gryffindor girl came in. "Speak of the devil, there they are now."

Snowbell was walking with those girls looking absolutely exhausted but chatted with the girls anyway. "Morning lads." She said as she walked past to get to the Gryffindor table. Her morning voice was pretty bad, her accent was thick enough to the point no one could understand.

Willow turned to Reginald "could you understand her?"

"Can you ever?"

"Good point."

They chatted absentmindedly until another familiar face popped into the hall. Marina looked awful. Her hair was a wreck and her eyes were red-rimmed and puffy. "She looked like she just wrestled a troll and survived." Reginald put bluntly.

"I wonder what happened." Willow softly said.

"Well, she was hell-bent on joining Slytherin." A new voice chimed. Both girls turned to see Bell lounging carelessly on the Hufflepuff bench next to them. "After all didn't she mention that her whole family expected her to be in the same house as Malfoy. Also since she's a pureblood there was a lot more expectation for her."

"Very true." Reginald said around a mouth full of hash browns.

Snowbell O'Mooney

Bell found out quickly that potions were not her thing. First, she got lost in the halls and ended up in the astronomy tower somehow, a helpful 4th year pointed the way for her. Next, she got trapped on a moving staircase and had to take a detour to get to the correct floor and lastly when she got to the dungeons all her roommates had paired up with each other and Francis was with another boy.

She sat down at the last available desk and unpacked her satchel. She was alone; every other desk had been filled. It was fine she could deal with this; it wasn't any different from her life back in Muggle School.

Those were her thoughts until the chair beside her was pulled back. "Is anyone sitting here?" A Slytherin boy with long black hair and strangely purple eyes said. He had a slight accent that Bell couldn't put her finger on.

"Uh...no." she scooted her chair unconsciously to the side to make room for him. He sat down loudly in his chair and noisily unpacked his stuff. Why was a Slytherin sitting with her? Weren't there any seats on his side of the room? Bell slide her eyes to the left of the room where the Slytherins normally sit. Every seat was full.

Just then the doors slammed open and a man in a dark robe stormed in. He violently flicked his wand out and the shutters on the other side of the room slammed one by one. "There will be no talking," Slam, "laughing," slam, "or making noises of any sort." The man had a nasally voice that sounded almost slimy. It matched his greasy hair and pale skin perfectly; the scowl he had looked it had been there for years.

A Gryffindor in the front snickered a little and the man stormed up to the student. "Who are you?" he sneers and the student mutters his name. "Well, Mr. William what happens if you drink Alihotsy Draught potion?"

The boy next to Bell mutters an answer "It causes hysteria." Bell's eyes slide to him but he was looking down.

"Don't know, do you? How about this, what can the Wiggenweld potion cure?" The teacher stated in his monotone voice. Once again the boy next to her mutters an answer under his breath.

The boy just stared at him. "It looks like wits don't suit you, Mr. William."

Snowbell Decided that this class would be Hell

-.-.-.-

Once they could leave that god-awful class Bell stopped the Slytherin boy sitting next to her. "Hey." She said in a cheerful tone. The boy looked up at her from where he was crouched down to grab his bag.

"Hi?" he said questioning and quiet.

"I'm Snowbell O'Mooney and it looks like we're gunna be partners for the year." She smiled broadly at the boy who wore a plain face. After a beat of awkward silence where he didn't answer she asked him his name.

"Roman..." he said quietly with the same plain face.

"Okay I can tell when I'm not wanted, but I just wanted to say I look forward to working with you." She skipped off before he could respond.

Bell knew that a friendship between a Slytherin and Gryffindor was close to impossible, but then again the sorting hat almost put her in Slytherin. There may be a chance that they could be civil with each other.
