Reginald Fiddlestein

Reginald really didn't want to admit that he was lost. He family had stopped to grab a bite to eat just outside of King's Cross and he was too impatient to wait, he really should have picked up a map. He knew that 9¾ was in between platform 9 and 10 and he had to run at a wall which did not sound appealing to him at all. Knowing himself he would probably run into an actual wall instead of the magical one.

His toad, Gibbly, croaked from his cage. "Don't worry Gibbly I am almost positive we are going in the general direction of the platforms." he heard a huff come from his cage. "I'm trying okay." he muttered more to himself instead of the toad. Reginald looked around for a map trying to avoid the odd stares, it wasn't every day you see a kid walking around with a huge trunk and a toad in a cage.

When he finally found a map on the wall he located where the platform was and realized that he was indeed going the right direction. "Told you Gibbly." he gloated before heading down towards the platforms. He noticed the closer he got the more Hogwarts bound kids there were. He passed a pair of girls who seemed about his age; one had a ton of stickers on her trunk and talking animatedly while her friend was more reserved and her trunk was less cluttered looking. Maybe he would make friends with them later if he was feeling up to it.

"Reginald!" he heard her mum's German accent call, they had finally caught up with him. Him mother and Brother and father were all catching up with her. His mum was a witch and his dad was a wizard who traveled the world for his job in Magical Law Enforcement. "Why didn't you tell us you were going on ahead?"

"I was impatient." he shrugged and kept walking. The platform was literally right ahead of him. "That's it right?" he asked his brother who just nodded in response. There was a small line of a few people waiting to run through the middle wall.

Just then there was a loud crash and a distinctively Irish voice yelling "Oh Shite!" Reginald whipped around and looked to see what had happened. Stickers girl was on the ground with her trunk askew and her cat out of the cage. What was most likely her mother stood over her scolding her for making a scene in public. The calm girl was helping her move her trunk back onto the trolley.

Soon it was Reginald's turn to run through the wall, there was just one family before him. Three of them went in and left the one girl behind to run in alone. "Marina?" the blonde girl whipped around and faced reginald. "Fancy seeing you here."

"...We're all going to the same school so I probably would see you at some point." She said in her same quiet voice.

"Very true, wanna sit together on the train?" Reginald said. Marina pondered before answering.

"I don't know...Draco might want me with him." She looked down and scuffed her feet a little bit. Reginald rolled his eyes, he knew that kid was a twat.

"Oh come on! You can't be with him forever might as well branch out now instead of being forgotten later." He stated insensitively and ignored the wince Marina gave as he said it. Reginald really didn't like what the Malfoy's stood for so he wasn't sorry for any mean comments he said about them. "Let's go get on the train." He grumbled in a slightly bitter mood.

Marina ran through first followed by the Fiddlestein family. Reginald had always loved the feeling he had gotten when he entered the platform, he was able to come when his brother had gone to school. The station, as always, was packed with families.
