The holidays came and went and soon Hogwarts was reopened for it's Spring session. So far life had been smooth coming back, unfortunately the mandrakes were still not ready and the kids that had been petrified have remained so. The next challenge that was coming up had almost arrived. It was February and most of the girls were preparing for Valentine's day, Marina included.
"Bell...I'm not sure this is a good idea." Marina whisper shouted at her friend as the stalked through the halls way past curfew.
"We'll be fine, I've done this a lot." Snowbell ducked around a corner and pulled Marina with her. "The kitchen is this way come on."
"Still..."
"The house elves love me don't worry." Snowbell approached the portrait that allows access into the kitchen.
"Bell..." she argued. Bell whipped around.
"You're the one who wanted to make handmade chocolate for your boyfriend, this is the only place we can do that."
"He's not my boyfriend!" Marina squeaked and her cheeks turned a bright red. "And I never said I wanted to-"
"Cut the crap, Marina," The Gryffindor cut her off, "I know you want to do this. I got you here so don't bail on me now." Marina moaned but let herself be pulled into the kitchen. They were immediately greeted by tired but willing house elves. "Can you help her make chocolate? Valentine's day is coming up." She explained.
"Certainty!" one said and pulled Marina away to a stove where others were already pulling out the ingredients she would need.
"Good luck Blondie!" Snowbell called to her as an elf presented the Gryffindor with a slice of apple pie. The elves walked Marina through the process of making small truffles that had neatly placed decorations on top. The process was long and hard and tempering by handmade her arms tired. "You're doing great sweetheart!" Bell called from where she was perched on a stool.
"You're not the one that is making the chocolate, sweetheart." Marina bit out.
"Please, I have better things to do than worrying about boys." Snowbell flipped her hand lazily.
"I'm not worrying about boys..." Marina huffed.
"Tell that to Reeve." Bell chuckled. Marina yelped and dropped her spatula. "Oh, what a shame." She smirked.
"I'm not worried about him..." Marina muttered and picked up her spatula and placed it in the sink.
"Yet, you're making chocolate for him." Snowbell grinned like the Cheshire Cat. Marina blushed again.
"I-I could be making this for you..." Marina stuttered. Snowbell let out a loud laugh.
"You're too obvious." The curly haired girl chuckled, "I'm just trying to rile you up."
-.-.-
It was late into the night when the chocolate was done, and they were sent on their way. "I can get you to the Great Hall, but after that, you're on your own," Bell whispered as she peered around the corner. "Come on, the coast is clear." The duo sneaked around the hallways until the Gryffindor stepped in something wet. "Shite." She whisper shouted.
The ground was covered in water that was leaking from the entrance of the girl's bathroom. "Isn't that Moaning Myrtle's bathroom?" Marina asked out loud.
"Yeah, let's not get mixed up in that," Bell said and took Marina by the hand when another voice sounded.
"Good evening ladies." Bell and Marina whipped around. Albus Dumbledore stood at the edge of the hall where the water had not infected the floor. "It is a nice evening for a stroll, but I do believe it is a little past curfew." He said with a kind smile.
