It was late at night in the O'Mooney residence and Snowbell was still up. She was sipping hot chocolate at the kitchen table wearing her pajamas. She should have gone to bed hours ago, but having chronic insomnia wasn't fun. She had taken her sleeping medicine hours ago but she noticed that she had started to build up a tolerance to it. So, she sipped her hot chocolate and watched the snow fall in the darkness of the night.

She heard footfall on the stairs but didn't bother to look up. "The hell are you still doing up," Stitches said as he reached the last step and saw the girl curled around her mug.

"Can't sleep." She said with a voice laced with exhaustion.

"Doesn't sound like it." He retorted as he joined her at the kitchen table. He stole her hot chocolate from her hands.

"Hey!" she halfheartedly protested. "I was drinking that."

"Well, it's mine now." He took a sip and grimaced, "Ugh, it's cold."

"That's what you get for stealing my hot chocolate." She laughed.

"Why didn't you warn me?" he complained.

"What goes around comes around." She rested her arms on the table and laid her head on them. Stitches gave her a long, hard stare.

"You're obviously tired, why are you not sleeping."

"I told you I can't sleep." She muttered.

"You should at least try." He said.

"Why are you so worried about me? We hate each other." She groaned.

"I don't hate you. I just find you annoying because you always try to pick fights with me whenever you see me." The third-year leaned back in his chair.

"I call bull." Bell yawned.

"I'm being honest right now."

"You can't tell the truth, you're a Slytherin."

"Ouch. Don't lump me with people like Malfoy. Not all Slytherins are bad."

"You're just saying that."

"I'm not a liar, Snowflake."

"That's not my name." Bell huffed. He ignored her.

"Damn, I really wanted some hot chocolate." He mumbled. Bell peeked at him.

"...I'll make you some more if you want." She whispered. He looked at her in surprise.

"What?" he gasped in disbelief.

"I said I'll make-" she started to repeat herself.

"No, I heard what you said, but I don't understand why."

"Chivalry is a big thing for me, and you were just honest with me. In return, I'll do this for you." Bell grumbled and stood up. She wobbled over to the stove and took the pan she had used to make her first hot chocolate from the sink.

"You really don't have to..." Stitches came to stand behind her.

"Don't get me wrong, I still don't like you." She glared at the pan as she stirred in the cocoa powder. "But do good regardless of gratitude or reward."

"What was that? A personal commandment?" he smirked.

"No, I read it in a book somewhere." She hummed and poured milk into her mixture. When it was done she poured the drink into a mug and handed it to him. "Here."

"What you're not going to have any?" he took a sip...it was surprisingly delicious.

"I'm lactose intolerant, so I can't have a lot." She took the pot and deposited it into the sink.
