Reginald's main emotion was straight up apathy. He was generally indifferent to pretty much everything except Gibbly. Halloween was no different. It was just a normal day for him, but his friends were much different.

On the first day of October, Bell had run in screaming about how it was almost Halloween even though it was still a month away. Marina would always brighten up when she saw one of those cheesy decorations and Willow had planned her costume about two weeks in advance.

Reggie didn't get it. He didn't see it as something that had to be celebrated, but here he was sitting in the courtyard with his friends who were all talking about the events that would happen later that night.

"I heard there would be loads of candy at tonight's feast." Willow said dreamily.

"Do you think anything from Honeydukes will be there?" Marina questioned.

"I sure hope so, they have the best candy there," Willow responded. "Oh, did you finish your costume, Bell?" the Gryffindor wasn't listening instead she was using her wand to draw pictures in the dirt while singing a Halloween song under her breath. "Bell...Bell!"

The curly-haired witch dropped her wand and stared like a deer in the lights of an oncoming bus. "...twelve?"

"Did you even hear the question?" Marina asked plainly. The redhead looked at her with an awkward smile. "Of course you didn't, I said did you finish your costume?"

"Yes! I'm going as one of the brothers in the deathly hallows story." She said cheerfully.

"How are you going to swing that?"

"Dress in my normal clothes and wear a cape."

"Boring."

"Well, what are you going as?" Snowbell crossed her arms and pouted.

"Cleopatra."

"That famous witch? Are you serious."

"Drop dead."

"Gladly."

"Snowbell no." Bell flopped to the ground dramatically.

"I must move on into my next life!" she shouted. All her friends stared at her plainly. "Give my things to Reginald."

"I don't want that shit." He said in a monotone voice. "All of your crap sucks."

"But look at my wand it's so cool!" She whipped out her black wand.

"Your wand is shit, it won't even perform a spell for you." Reggie never looked up from his book as he spat insults.

"It's not my fault, my wand is stubborn." Snowbell mumbled with crossed arms. Reginald looked up from his book with an eyebrow raised.

"How so?" he asked.

"Don't you know the Rhyme?" Snowbell asked Reginald shook his head, "It's Rowan gossips, Chestnut groans, Ash is stubborn, Hazel moans."

"Where did you find that out?" Willow asked intrigued.

"There is a big book in the library on wand lore, it's actually fairly interesting." Bell made gestures with her hands indicating the size of the book. "Do you want to go check it out? It's pretty cool."

"Sounds like fun." Marina chimed in.

"Alright let's go!" Bell cheered as she clumsily got off the ground and whipped her pants of the imaginary dust. Reginald kept reading, ignoring his friends.

"Come on Reg! We'll leave you behind!" Marina shouted as the trio started to walk away.

"Don't care." He was about to turn a page in his book when it suddenly floated away from him. His head snapped up and he saw Marina with her wand out and his book slowly floating towards her. He groaned loudly then stood up to follow his fellow eleven-year-olds.
