Alpha's Prophecy

Chapter 26

Hannah

I'd been holding on to this fear that exposing Quinton as my kidnapper would make Jake turn against me. Afterall, Quinton is his father, his blood. I expected there to be disbelief, that Jake would defend Quinton and accuse me of lying. What I wasnt expecting was Jake threatening his own father's life.

At first I thought it was just a throw away line, "I'll kill him". The same empty threat you make when you're angry, knowing you have no desire to follow through and I would never have held him to it, not with what was at stake. By the time we got back to the Alpha cottage, Jake, Sebastian and Daniel were putting a plan together, wanting to strike tonight. 

"Stop!" I commanded the three of them as they began to gather weapons, placing them on the coffee table. They glare at me confused, obviously assuming that I'd be all for their crusade but  theyre not thinking clearly. "We can't do this. We can't go kill a former pack member, a Beta, we'll be kicked out of the pack." 

"Hannah, once the pack finds out what Quinton did to you, they will want his blood." Sebastian confidently tells me and Danial nods in agreement. 

"Quinton betrayed us, there will be no mercy shown towards him." Daniel adds.

The three of them are wilded eyed, they've been itching for a fight since Alexander was murdered and they most likely think that taking down Quinton will be the pregame, before the main event but they're far from being prepared for any battle. 

"You don't even have a plan." I remind them and Daniel chuckles loudly, as if I'm the one who is being ridiculous. 

"We don't need a plan, Hannah." Daniel quips, picking up a axe and swinging it in the air. "There's four of us and one of him, Sebastian and I can easily hold him down and you can have the honours of cutting his head off."

"Or you could slice him in half, from head to anus" Sebastian says as he picks up a sword and holds it upright in front of his face, posing like a samurai. "Really take your time with it so he feels his entire body splitting in two."

Sebastian laughs to himself as he slowly slices through the air, no doubt imagining Quinton is in front of him. 

"Quinton saw me at the hospital, he knows I've returned to the pack. He also knows that Jake isn't at his full strength" I point out to them, taking the sword from Sebastian and carefully placing it back on the table. I only have to throw a look at Daniel and he too is putting his weapon down. "By now he'd be aware that the truth has come out about my kidnapping and he will be anticipating us to move in on him."

Jake moves in closer towards me and I can tell from the change in his expression he's picked up what I'm implying to the group but Daniel and Sebastian still look clueless.

"Quinton will be expecting us to attack." Jake backs me up. "We may not have a plan but my father will. If we go tonight, chances are he won't be alone and we won't make it out alive."

The bubble bursts and it's disappointment all round. 

"So, that's it, he gets away with this?" Sebastian asks Jake, balling his fists up in anger. "We can't just let this go Jake, if word gets out around the pack, that Quinton kidnapped Hannah and we did nothing...." His voice trails off but what he's implying lingers heavily between the four of us. 

If members of this pack find out that we had knowledge that Quinton was my kidnapper and we let him get away with it, they would revolt. 

"We will have our revenge on Quinton." I promise the men, gaining me smiles all round. "We just have to beat him at his own game."
