I watched as Jake pulled back from me and closed his eyes. I knew that look immediately, my father was once Alpha of this pack and was constantly being interrupted by pack members mind-linking him.

"What is it" I asked Jake and he must have sensed the alarm in my tone as he brought his thumb up to my cheek and caressed it softly.

"It was Louisa, she was checking to see that I was still alive" He laughed softly, "I assured her that not only had you not killed me but that we now have a new Luna of the Tingira pack. She wants to see you though"

It wasn't a surprise to me that Louisa was eager for us to be reunited, now that she knew who I truely was. Lou and I had been friends first, long before Jake had noticed me, growing up together she would often pretend I was her little sister. Louisa and Jake were not close siblings, their father clearly favouring Louisa over Jake caused a rift between them and I guess when I started hanging out with Jake it fuelled that rift even more.

I never meant to hurt Louisa in any way but I just wasn't the type of girl who wanted to play tea parties and dress ups, I wanted to be a warrior, I wanted to learn how to fight because that's what I was good at. Lou and I remained close but I still felt more drawn towards being around Jake and I know it caused a bit of friction between the siblings. My guilt was eased a little by the fact that Louisa and I had befriended the Pack Gamma's daughter, Serena and that she could fill that role of the girly girl friend Louisa desperately craved.

"Well it wouldn't be the first time Lou Lou has tried to pull me away from you" I laughed as I climbed to my feet and held out my hand for Jake to hold, he took it and stood up slowly, I suspect he was still feeling a bit of pain from our encounter on the training field, not that he'd ever admit it to me.

Once we reached the Beta Cottage Jake didn't knock on the door, instead he just opened it and walked straight in, still holding my hand as he led me inside where I was immediately pounced upon by the tiny, pregnant woman who latched her arms around me tightly.

"I'm so sorry Han Han, I feel like I should have known it was you and I feel so guilty that I didn't" She cried on my shoulder.

"Lou none of this is your fault, I'm just so happy I get to see you again" I tell her as I pull back from her, "And look at you, you're pregnant, I'm so happy for you Lou Lou"

Sebastian enters the room and hands Jake a beer before coming over to also wrap me up in a tight hug

"Please teach me that move on how you brought him down so fast, as his Beta, I need to know how to put the Alpha on his ass" He jokes with me. I knew Sebastian quite well growing up, he was always the kid making jokes in class and mouthing off to the teachers but he was also a strong fighter, even from a young age, so it was no surprise that Jake had chosen him to be the Beta of the pack and I'm sure his own mateship with Lou most likely sealed his position.

"I was wondering why you didn't step in to save him, you were loving seeing Jake get his ass kicked" I laugh and he nods in agreement.

Serena and Daniel are the next to greet me, pulling me into their group hug, I have the feeling that these two are only newly mated, as Serena was only a few months older than me and are most likely inseparable. I remember as pups though, Daniel wasn't always so nice to Serena, often singling her, pulling her hair and making her cry. I would often step in and take Daniel on and he would back down.
