Akutagawa has been called into Chuuya's office the next day again. He sat down on the chair and just like yesterday, Chuuya offered him some sweets. This time it was some gummy bears.
„I have a hunch, or a kind of idea, what might be happening to the weretiger" Chuuya starts talking and Akutagawa feels hopeful. Only a tiny bit (since he totally doesn't care for Jinko), but it's still there.
He watches how the older man takes out a folder and opens it on a page which has a lot of tiger pictures on it.
„The thing I've thought about might be possible, but it's a long shot. We cannot know for sure what's wrong with him. I'm doing this mostly because I'm interested, but the best way to solve this thing is to ask the weretiger himself. I have partnered you with him again. It's not a difficult mission, you only need to steal an important document, but you'll get more information from Mori. During this mission, I think you should ask Nakajima about this" The mafia executive points at the section of male and female differences in tigers.
Akutagawa stares at the text for a bit, speed-reading thorugh it, but not understanding. He looks at Chuuya confused.
„Why should I ask him about a tiger's anatomy?" He asks
„You told me yesterday that his tiger form was a female, right? Well, I've been thinking. What if his tiger is pregnant? Well, in the more human way? What if some pheromones of the tiger's pregnancy were given to Nakajima? That would surely explain the throwing up and the mood swings"
„But, Jinko's a guy"
„Yeah, that's one of the holes in my idea. But let's ignore that fact. Technically, if he weren't a guy, then all the signs would point to him being pregnant. So just to see if it's true or not, maybe ask him in a few days. Or else all my research would be for nothing"

Jinko seems more normal today. Healthier, too. The black bags under his eyes are gone and when Akutagawa sees him for the first time, the weretiger's drinking chocolate milk.
Akutagawa doesn't greet him. He doesn't know how. They've never had a habit of saying hello to eachother.
The mission goes smoothly. It starts raining but the document is in a building, so they only get wet after destroiyng the document because they had to leave. The operation was finished a bit early and Akutagawa made an umbrella out of Rashomon. Him and the weretiger found a place with a small roof and stayed there.
The silence was weird. Akutagawa could only hear the raindrops, and also Atushi's breathing. The weretiger was wearing baggier clothes again. The diablo noticed that when he first saw him, too.
„I'm sorry" He says and Atsushi lets out a surpsied noise.
„Hm?" He hums
„For the cheek. Sorry for making you cry"
„Ah... Could you please, uh, ignore that ever happened? It's just of embarassing. All the stress got to me and I just picked the wrong time to have a breakdown."
Akutagawa nods. For some reason he just partly believes him. Is the reason Jinko's been acting so werid really just stress?
„What?" Jinko asks him. He noticed how Akutagawa was staring at him.
„The throwing up was just because of the stress? Seriously?" The diablo scofffs and the weretiger's eyes get a bit wide.
„That's none of your business."
„It is. Thanks to your I don't even know what, we've failed two very important missions."
„I said, this is none of your business." Atsushi says, this times with more anger behind it. Akutagawa knows he's hitting a nerve. And maybe, if he hits it hard enough, he'll finally get to know the truth.
„And since when does stress make such huge mood swings? You know, if you were a girl, I'd think you were pregnant. But I mean, you can't, right? But what about the tiger?" He says. Then, he immediately regrets it.
The tiger has come and a few seconds later Akutagawa's laying on the ground. He feels how the tiger's claws gave him a huge wound and when he touches it with is hands, he realises how much blood he's losing. If no one helps him, he might even die.
He gets dizzy and everything seems to blurr. He sees the weretiger transform back to his human form and try to stop the bleeing. Akutagawa thinks that the weretiger is screaming, but he's not sure. He only sees his mouth open and close.
They catch eye contact.
Akutagawa passes out.
