A few years before they got married

The baby kept crying and Atsushi barely got a wink of sleep. His daughter, Kasumi, was usually a quiet child, but for some reason, ever since she met Akutagawa, she kept crying, wanting to meet him again.
"Shh... Are you hungry? I'll give you some milk" The sleepy weretiger asks after he picks his daughter up and takes her to the kitchen. He already had the formula prepared a few hours ago, but when he put the bottle to Kasumi's mouth, she slapped it away and started bawling.
"Kasumi... Please calm down" Atsushi says in a soothing but at the same time desperate voice and tries rocking her in his arms and for the first few seconds, she starts to calm down but later, when his phone rings, she starts crying again.
The weretiger looks back at his phone and has never hated his phone more than at this moment. With her still in his arms, he walks over and picks up the phone.
"Hello?" He asks, a bit loud so the person can hear him over his daughter's crying.
"...Jinko" Atsushi hears and as soon as that word comes out of Akutagawa's mouht, Kasumi's crying comes to an end. She stares at the phone and tries to reach for it and Atsusih lets her.
Finally some peace and quiet.
"Aku. Aka!" Kasumi tries to say Akutagawa's name while laughing and Atsushi can feel that the diablo is surprised to hear Kasumi's voice instead of Atsusih's and clears his throat.
After a while, ATsusih takes the phone back and puts it on his shoulder while he sits down and lets Kasumi play with her plushies while in his lap.
"Hi, Akutagawa. Sorry for this, but thank you for finally calming her down" He says.
"Don't worry. That's, uh, actually what I'm calling about"
"Really?"
"Yes. Dazai... He told me to call you because of Kasumi, for some reason." Akutagawa answers and Atsushi tilts his head backwards. Right, he told Dazai about his recent troubles with Kasumi. Often, he disliked it when Dazai did things behind his back, but now he was very grateful for it.
Atsushi lets out a small laugh and caresses Kasumi's head. He pulls her closer and kisses her forehead, while the girl laughs and hugs her dad.
"Akutagawa..." Atsushi begins a sentence but takes a long break.
"Hm?"
"If it's okay with you, could you come over to my house? Kasumi really misses you, haha" He laughs a bit embarrassed. He didn't even know why Kasumi liked the diablo so much, but at the same time he didn't blame her.
He, too, started to like him. Very much so.
There's a long silence on the other end of the phone and ATsuhi already thinks Akutagawa's about to say no, when he hears the diablo's voice again.
"I will be there in 30 minutes" He says and hangs up the call.
Atsushi smiles and is very excited.
"Our favorite diablo's coming, Kasumi!" He says in a happy voice and boops his daughter's nose.
His life was truly changing for the better.

He's feeding his daughter some baby food when he hears their door ring and he looks at the way the noise came from. Atsushi puts the spoon away and picks Kasumi up.
"He's here!" He tells her with a smile and even though he's pretty sure Kasumi has no idea what he said, his daughter starts smiling too.
He opens the door and sees the diablo standing in front of it. He was wearing his sunglasses and his coat was still on, but as soon as he stepped inside of Atsushi's home, he took both sunglasses and the coat off and hung it on the wall.
He was comfortable in the weretiger's home.
As soon as Akutagawa's and Atsushi's eyes meet for a longer time, they can feel something. Both of their hearts start beating and they know. They know their bond is stronger than ever.
The diablo can feel his cheeks go red and to distract himself from Atsushi's facem he looks at Kasumi instead. The daughter was already reaching her hands to him and Akutagawa looks at Atsushi once again.
"Do you want to hold her?" The weretiger asks and Akutagawa hesitates a bit. He never held a kid before. What if he accidentally makes her fall? That would definitely destroy his and Atsushi's relationship...
Atsushi suddenly steps closer to him and takes his arm. He puts Kasumi on Akutagawa's chest and the girl holds on tightly to the diablo. WHen Atsuhi steps away again, Akutagawa's already holding the child as if it's a life or death situation.
He's never been good with kids. Why did this one like him so much?
"You look so cute" Atsushi whispers and Akutagawa's eyes widen. His cheeks go red and he fakes a cough to yet again distract himself from the weretiger in front of him.
With Kasumi in his arms, he follows Atsushi to the couch and they sit down togehter on it. Their thighs are touching and at first, Akutagawa's very tsiff but with time, he lets his body loose.
Atsushi turns on a kid's movie on the television and gives Akutagawa a cup of hot chocolate.
"Thank you" The diablo tells the man next to him and takes a sip. He never really liked chocolate, but this drink was very delicious and he finished it rather quickly.
"You can put it on the table. I'll clean it up later" Atsushi says after Akutaagwa tries to stand up with Kasumi to put the cup in the sink. The diablo nods.
There's silence between them, but it's not uncomfortable. It's very comforting, actually.
Every few seconds, Kasumi laughs and once in a while, Akutagawa catches Atsuhi staring at him and sometimes the other way around, too.
Atsushi slowly moves closer to the diablo and after Kasumi finally falls asleep again, he mutters something to Akutagawa.
"Thank you for coming today." He says and Akutagawa looks at him.
"It wasn't a problem. I had a free day. I... enjoy your company" Akutagawa confesses and feels Atsushi put his head on his shoulder.
"I enjoy your company too, Ryuu" He mutters in a sleepy voice and a few seconds later, Akutagawa realizes Atsushi probably passed out from exhaustion. The diablo looks at Kasumi and caresses her white hair. It also had a black streak in them, just like Atsushi's hair.
He really hopes they will be able to spend time like this more often. Just him, Atsushi and Kasumi.
Like a small but happy family.
